Lui's Knob
I'm not sure Lack is ready for prime time backing up this year (if there is one this year or next) - his stats are rating him 32nd out of 48 goalies in the AHL so far ..... :/
Canvoucer Vanuck
^ It's still early in the season though. His previous two years are a much better sample to go on.
Red-Haired_Shanks
it doesnt look like lack is doing so well. i havent been able to see any of the games but he has a .898 S% and a 3.02 GAA. thats not good if he wants to make the backup role. but im just looking at the stats. are the stats a good refection of what lack is doing or is he playing well but the stats make it look like hes not doing well. can anyone shed some light on his game so far for someone who doesnt get the chance to watch him play? thanks
Millerdraft
Lack has been pretty inconsistent for awhile now. He'll go hot for two to three weeks and then he'll go ice cold for two weeks. It's quite frustrating, tbh.
Sergei Shirokov
Theres a lot of talent in the AHL this year. Lots of NHL calibre players.
RunningWild
Never got to watch tonights game, but it didn't look good for Lack. Another 3+ goal night? Yikes. I keep hearing the same 2 things- 1: He needs to learn to fight for his sight lines when there's traffic 2) Poke check, learn how to use it It's a small sample size this yr, but I have zero desire to see him backing up Schneider any time soon. I can't imagine his inconsistency this yr makes Gillis comfortable when they're trying to win a Cup. If he does trade Luongo, he's going to need a quality back up coming the other way. DeNiro
Lack is struggling just as much as his teammates. I wouldn't worry about him too much. He's proven he can be a star in the AHL. Him and his teammates (and the coaching staff), all need to up their games, plain and simple.
mrsasaki
If it makes anyone feel better, Markstrom hasn't done much better. 3.41 GAA and 0.886 SV%, along with a 2-6 record. Mind you San Antonio is worse than Chicago. The only names I know are Quinton Howden, Andre Deveaux, Casey Wellman, J-F Jacques, and Alex Petrovic. RunningWild
Lack has hip flexor injury. Wonder if that has anything to do with his less than stellar play? Here's Nucks talking about him: http://www.vancouversun.com/sports/hockey/vancouver-canucks/Chicago+Wolves+goalie+Eddie+Lack+play/7618284/story.html
DeNiro
Coach V said that he talked to Lack and that he`s made alot of progress in the last little while. He expects him to start skating again in the next week. So I guess we can assume he doesn`t need surgery then?
