So happy for Baby Face Gallagher!

Can't say I'm overly surprised with this. Henry's a 20 year old with only 1/2 a season left in his WHL career. I know the Giants are looking to make a run for the championship this season, but at least we got something for him.

The cougars traded away Connollys rights even though he's playing on the lightning. What's up with that?

Love the fact that the Giants v. Americans game is on SHAW right now. Crappy quality, but still.

well, tampa can send connoly back down to the WHL. They would have to do it before the nhl trade deadline. Tri city gave up a 5th round pick, and conditional 1st and 2nd round picks. If Connoly gets sent back then the americans have to give there 1st and 2nd round picks from some year (not sure). But yea, PG isnt in a playoff position and Tri City is one of the top teams, if they get connoly back, they could very well be memorial cup good.

Rockets game on Wednesday. Hopefully Mitch Chapman accepts my challenge. Basically the story goes like this:

Jan 9 - He tweets asking what we would want, if we could have one thing.
I replied with "A #5 Rockets jersey, duh." He wears 5 for the Rockets, and he retweeted that tweet. I felt cool. Posted Image

Jan 10 - He posts about watching Never Say Never on the bus on the way to a game.
I replied with "J-Beibs? I - I think I'm going to have to go with a@bellsey29jersey instead. Sorry man. :(" as a friendly jab.
He replied with something about it being fine with him and that I was just a hater. I hope that was a small jab as well. Posted Image

Jan 14 - I tweeted him that I'd be at their next home game on Wednesday. Said if he gets a point I'll watch Never Say Never and give The Biebs a chance. I'm awaiting some form of reply. Posted Image He's only got 9 points in something like 35-42 games, around there. Hopefully he accepts!

Haha.

Big win in Vancouver last night for the Rockets. They've spent 18 of their last 36 days in hotels and on their six game road trip travelled the distance equivalent to driving from Kelowna to Toronto....another big game for them tonight in Everett.

HUGE comeback win for the Rockets against the Giants tonight! It was 3-0, but they came back to win 4-3 in a shootout. They lost the first two of their homestand, so they really needed this one.

Wow, the Americans are just ridiculous. Their entire top line are 100 pt scorers, with Shinnimin having 120 pts in 63 games. Absolutely ridiculous.

In my books they are the favorite to win... so much scoring depth but with that said, the blazers have been able to shut them down all year, we had alot more trouble with portland

The quality of the junior game is really good. I like going to junior games more than pro games, atmosphere is usually more intimate and I always have more fun. Last night the Blazers sold out the arena against the Winterhawks and when the third period came 5 unanswered goals blew the roof off the place

Rather saying this here in this topic then making a specific topic for it:

I have just moved to Canaa, and visited a couple of games in the WHL now. I have seen the Victoria Royals playing against the Spokane Chiefs, they lost the game but this guy Logan Nelson made a really good impression both by skilled playing as psychical in a fight, later on I have seen the Royals playing versus the Giants, again he made a real good impression, and also winning a good fight again.

I got to say I also impressed by Gallagher(I hope I spell his name correct)/ He scored points when I have seen him against the Blazers, and also when I watched him against the Royals. He is already drafted by the Canadians, and I think especially now the Canadians are not on their best game I guess he deserves a chance, not sure wether its possible to call him up though because of age or possible promises towards the Giants?

I think both Gallagher and Logan Nelson have great potential for playing in the NHL, anyone else has thoughts about one of these players?

Caught my first WHL game since the cougars left Victoria for Prince George. Pleasantly surprised at the pace and energy. Victoria wins and earns a spot in the playoffs!

wow what a game last night Kelowna - Vancouver. 3 shots 2 goals in the first 3 minutes, 3 goals by Vancouver which were under review by the refs, that awesome goal by gallagher, without one of his gloves, he really got sick of the Kelowna guys beat him and he was like F this, this is my night, I am going to skate behind the net as much I want and I am going to score that goal lol.

Not sure if it is just me, because I haven't seen that much games yet, but Vancouver really seems like the skilled team, and not psychical, only as once they get into a fight they will do it, but they wont enter one them selves, while the Victoria and Kelowna teams fighted a lot more?

I do think WHL games are much more fun AND cheaper:) Was fun to see a nearly sellout too in Pacific Colliseum!

Gotta get the split tonight, I don't expect the game to be that high scoring again..

That was uncharacteristic of both teams..

Another great, high-powered attack from the Giants tonite; Martinook with 2 straight 4-pt games, and Gallagher's just getting up to stride.

Huge loss of Kichton if he actually does have a broken jaw from a Vanscourt slap-dump-in, but then again we don't have Musil either.

Hopefully we get the split in Spokane, and come back to win it in Game 5.
