Oh, well if you don't live in Vancouver then that makes sense. I wouldn't follow the Giants if I didn't live here either. I'd follow whatever team was closest to me.

Yeah I live in Chicago right now, but should be moving to seattle in about a year, I'll probably follow the t-birds and giants at that point.

Ha. T-Birds.

Might as well follow the Tits. T-Birds play out in Kent which is a fairly long trek from Seattle in the middle of nowhere. At least Comcast arena is like a bar with a rink in the middle. Mind you, the fans are typical know nothing Yanks. Everytime I have been down there the Giants have won big. So by the middle of the 3rd you get stupid people telling Canada to go home. Canada sucks. Canada wouldn't exist without the US.

Then when you confront them with 9/11 is a product of US foriegn policy which is fueled by the ignorance of the American population as a whole, after they think about it for a bit, and ring their cowbell for no apparent reason, they go back to their Go Back to Canada stance. To which you then reply: Fine...but we are taking every Canadian on the Tips team with us. Who are you left with?

That and as the other team kills a penalty the PA announcer comes on in a somber tone "The Giants are back at full strength" to which the crowd responds "And they still suck!" you can't imagine how hard it is to explain to one of those morons how that is wrong. First off that they need to be told what is happening and then my team sucks because they prevented yours from scoring? Should you not be harping on the Tips PP?

I can give you 3 good reasons to follow the Giants: Musil, Sward, Bellerive. These kids are going to be awsome. Musil will at the very least be top 10 in the NHL draft. Many think top 5. I would try and make a move for Musil if I was Gillis.

Glad I bought the Rockets Tips game and kept watching last night. Down 3-0 going into the third the Rockets rally and win the game 4-3 in a shootout. Very exciting game to watch :)

Nice. Stick it to the Tips!

They were getting a little too full of themselves...as usual. Their fans have already started up Memorial Cup talk.

it's not nearly as far out of Seattle as you claim, and I'll be living in Bonney Lake at first, so I'll be about 20 min from the arena. and I can't stand the silvertips, but you really shouldn't be such a dick when you visit opposing team's home arenas. You're begging to be shot, especially mentioning to Americans that their foreign policy is partially to blame for 9/11. As far as they are concerned it was an unprovoked attack against them; shattering that illusion will only be me with violence.

And if you can't get the "and they still suck" I don't know if I should even bother explaining it to you. They say that, not because the giants prevented them from scoring, but as a dig against the other team, saying that they suck despite having all of their players on the ice. And they say it against everyone, not just the giants. I know the Milwaukee Admirals do the same thing. it's just part of that arena's shtick.

I don't go looking to stir something up because I hate those jerks who come to the Coliseum to do that. Besides Everett fans Blazer fans can be bad. Worst single person though was Benn Oslen's uncle. The last time he was in the Coliseum he was arrested. Was all tanked up causing a scene. Hosts come down to remove him for the umpteenth time over the past 3 seasons and this time he shoves one of them. They come back down with 2 VPD officers to escort him out. Up on the concourse he tried to break free from the cops and that's when they slapped the handcuffs on him and hauled him away.

But if they want to start insulting Canada they better be ready for some push back.

Is there any word on what the league is going to do with Brendan Shinnimin after this check from behind? Has to be one of the worst check from behind I have ever seen, the kid does not even have the puck when he does it. I really hope Shinnimin is kicked out of league.

His fate has been decided. He has been handed a 12 game suspension.

I for one am shocked. I thought it would be no more than 5...but shocked in a good way.

I couldn't get over yesterday when Doug McLean was on Fat and Taylor talking about how Pominville created the situation. I was excuse me? He didn't have the puck and was facing the play. Why should he have to fear getting hit from behind?

It is dumbasses like McLean that will try and make sure that no progress is made in regards to curbing dangerous hits. Then again, McLean almost single handedly screwed Brule's career.

A fairly banged up and suspended Giants team is hosting the Prince Albert Raiders tonight.

Rookie F Matt Bellerive will be serving the first of his 2 game suspension for a check from behind against Kamloops.

Then on the shelf with injuries are McNaught, Redmond, Burns and Lyon.

Trip back to Vancouver for Tucker. Wonder if PA will give him the start tonight.

kamloops downed kelowna, crawled their way back to a 500ish record.

went to the game at the coliseum on the weekend, was a hard fought win against the giants. It was great to see the kids flying across the ice when they scored in overtime like they had won the memorial cup.

schaber and ranford are looking great, could be an exciting season

Bah! Hate the shootout. HATE IT! Wish everyone would do what the KIJHL does. 5min 4 on 4, if tied 2min intermission then 5min 4 on 4. If tied, it's a tie! No pandering to Yankees that don't get it. Ties are not a bad thing!! And guess what, there has only been 1 tie so far in the season.

Giants had the 3-2 lead heading into the 3rd but were forced to OT and then circus time. Cunner and Gally with 2 points each so they sit 1st and 2nd in WHL scoring.

Now here is something interesting. Giants are pretty much known for outshooting the other team. By my unofficial, slightly intoxicated, off the top of my head stats book, this is the 4th time this season the Giants have been outshot and have come away with at least a point.

That was the most disgusting hockey game I have ever witnessed. Just pure garbage from the Blazers goaltending. PG opened the game 5 for 5. Groenheyde finished with 0 saves on 4 shots with a 0% sv%. Then the first shot on Bosch went in. Nothing else much to say about that. Duece, pretty good call for tonight seeing that you didn't have to sit through that

Heard on the radio today that the Cougars have been doing pretty good this season. Well I laughed a little bit, then decided to go check whl.ca. Well, I guess the jokes on me, the Cougars are only 1 point behind the Giants with 3 games in hand. I was quite shocked.

Connolly has been awesome, 18 points in 11 games, wowzers.

I really hope the Cougars can keep this pace up, and make the playoffs. A playoff series for this franchise and city could be huge, this would draw more fans. I remember when the Cougars made the playoffs, and there was only standing room in the Multiplex (CN Centre), was a sight to behold looking at the crowds nowadays.

Cunningham and Gallagher are doing just fine themselves I must say. Though, I am not really shocked by the numbers they're able to put up, they've got talent those two.

Well went to my first game tonight 7-3 Americans over the Cougars. We had some bad bounces and couldn't bury are chances.

The Americans fore checkers did an amazing job tonight, but Connolly had a pretty sick dangle in the first.

I really enjoyed this game other than the result.

Also as a walked around the CN centre we have turned out some okay defencemen as we have alumni posters everywhere.

Souray, Chara, Hamuis, Brewer. Not too shabby.
