Kevin Bieksa you are really...

Same thing as last year, Juice started off a little slow and ended strong....and we fed you your hat.

I'm thinking this year, we insert your hat into a different orrifice of yours at the end of the season.

Yup, that's what we'll do.......so pucker up.

I'm still waiting...... that's the first 4 games of the year as well as the last 7 games in the SCF where Bxa has been awful, especially since he is now the highest paid Nuck at SEVEN MILLION, this year. The guy is a joke. I really miss the Hoff, so does the PP. 2utgv3d.gif

I was wondering where all of Canucklelion's Bieksa hate had gone to. I see that he's managed to just keep it in this thread now. I'd gotten so used to seeing it every PGT that I was rather surprised this year when I didn't see any.

Everything is right in the world, Canucklelion still hates Bieksa, laugh.gif.

In a way, CANUCKELION's Bieksa hate mirrors the way a lot of fnas root for their team.

They start off the season thinking "this is the year!", much the same way as CANUCKELION started off last year saying "this is the year Bieksa leaves town!"

In the end, they're both proven to be sadly mistaken. Yet, with the start of a new season, hope springs eternal. The Leafs fan says "This is definitely the year! We have Tim Connoly now!" Meanwhile, CANCUKELION says "This is definitely the year Bieksa sucks!"

And so it goes.....

Bieksa was actually the best defenceman in the "last 7 games in the SCF" (which doesn't make much sense, since there's only 7 games, max, per round, including the SCF). In fact he was picking up the slack of others who weren't as durable as he was.

You're entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts.

Ehrhoff was not nearly the defensive blackhole that some people make him out to be, but it was clear that Gillis did not want to pay him his market value. That wasn't a bad thing necessarily for either party.

But the big thing coming into the season was whether our defense was still as deep and strong as it was last year, at least for me. I didn't think that it was, and so far, that opinion is proving itself to be correct. I don't know what is going on with Ballard, but it pains me to see him take up the amount of cap space that he does while playing such a minutiae role.

My second worry was whether Bieksa could handle the expectation of being the highest paid defenseman, whether he would feel obligated to produce more offense. I wanted him to play the same game that he did last year. So far, he's not doing that...playing too lackadaisical and dumb. Hopefully he doesn't prove to be a contract year player.

Canucklion clearly has no objectivity when this topic is raised. Bxa regularly plays against the top forwards in the game and looks good. And yes once in a while datsuyk, gaborik, ovechkin, etc will make you look bad.

But hes clearly our best dman. And in the scf he was paired with useless help.

A leopard doesn't change his spots, did you see his lame a$$ pass that was intercepted to set up Detroit's firs goal last night?

Clearly, you are the one who lacks objectivrty, no wway is Bxa, even when he rarely plays well, is not anywhere near as good a Dman as Hamhuis or Edler.

  • 2 weeks later...

bumping the real Bieksa thread..........

Good idea, I thought the thread was over as it disappeared from the 'my content' section of CDC and couldn't find it in Canuck's talk.

So 11 games in and our highest paid player and biggest cap hit among the D, has been played terribly for the first 10 games, and was very average against Wash. IMO he is absolutely useless without Hamhuis there to hold his hand.

Actually Hamhuis looked pretty lost and impotent without Bieksa.
