In a normal draft he would probably go in the top 5 or 10. Still he made history. Just needs to make sure he doesn't get crushed by the expectations of being the #1 pick. He kinda came out of nowhere and didn't play against very strong competition in college. Meanwhile Wiggins has been on the radar since high school and will be more equipped to handle the pressure. Lakers rid themselves of somebody who doesn't really fit their system and hurt what they were trying to do while saving a lot of money. Howard is finally somewhere he wants to be and is motivated to play his best.
