Now you can take a rest... Thanks again Shaelon for the best magic number season ever

(though that's more due to the team :towel:). Appreciate it very much - it's been a wild ride.

Next stop, Lord Stanley!

P.S. Just read that you were updating it for the other teams make-playoff point totals. Will keep tuned.

P.P.S. All we need is someone to make a 16 win countdown thread. Any takers?

Thank you Magic Number thread. Because of you there was only 153 extra threads made about Position instead of 1053..:towel:

Yes, now that all the magic numbers are at zero, a round of applause for Shaelon!

On another note...did my Flyers seriously lose three of four to Atlanta this season? Bah.

The good news is at least they don't have to worry about them in the playoffs.

Friday, April 1st, 2011:

This is an update to tell you the Structure of the new Chart.

It will first off be called the Playoff Position Clinching Chart.

The Magic # and Magic Change rows have been removed and have been replaced by PTC Columns (X for Playoff Spot, Y for Division and Z for Conference). PTC = Points to Clinch and for each column, I have posted what each team will need to clinch the 3 spots. If a team can't possibly get higher points than the team needed to beat, it will be read as NR (Not Reachable).

As well, I have removed the PTP (Points Pace), and replaced it with MAX (Maximum number of points that can be reached).

The Colours:

Lightish Green = Clinched Playoff Spot as Division Leader

Green = Division Leader

Orange = Clinched a Playoff spot.

Yellow = In the top 8.

Blue = In Playoff Contention but out of top 8.

Purple = Eliminated from Playoff Contention.

The updates will be made by Midnight every day until the end of the regular season.

Just wanted to say thanks to Shaelon for the tremendous effort on the magic number chart. Looked at it pretty much every day for the past couple of months but never bothered posting anything here.

One suggestion for the playoff indicator chart though. It would be nice to have a separate chart for the eastern conference like you did with the western conference. Not too important since we're not in the east but if you have time that would be greatly appreciated to see how things develop in the other conference.

Thanks again Shaelon!
