I would prefer the off chance of Dallas or the Flames making it in over Chicago. But that's just me :D

Although playing Chicago would be sweet just to get the opportunity to bury that demon, I'd rather have Anaheim drop like a stone. Fat chance but it would be ideal if Chicago moved up to 7th, and Calgary squeezed into 8th going 2 - 0 while Anaheim goes 0 - 3 to fall to 9th.

Let Chicago and Detroit beat each other up in the first round, and we play the over-reaching Flames who will be fun to watch the boys dissect slowly.

Another reason I'd like this is I'll be in Calgary during the first round. Go watch it at a bar along the red mile and watch those poor flamer fans burn before my eyes. :P

So what's everyone hoping for with the Hawks? Alternatively what do you think will happen?

1 Win out and get out of 8th spot so the Nucks play Anaheim (most likely)

2 Stay in 8th and have a repeat of the 2nd rounds from the last 2 years

3 Lose out and have the Nucks play Calgary/Dallas

I hope its #3

CHI @ MTL

STL @ CHI

CHI @ DET

DET @ CHI

Chicago could realistically lose all of those games. Detroit is a great team, St Louis has been tearing it up on offence recently and MTL is solid in net and battling to stay ahead of NYR and BUF.

Dallas on the otherhand:

CLB @ DAL

COL @ DAL

DAL @ COL

DAL @ MIN

It may be enough to make up 4 points in 4 games.

Not yet. Toronto and Buffalo can both finish 40-32-10. Both teams will have 90 points and can both have 35 ROW. The tie breaker comes down to points in games played vs each other.

Results were:

3-2 (so) Buffalo

3-1 Buffalo

6-2 Buffalo

2-1 Toronto

4-3 Toronto

4-3 Toronto

Soooooo, Buffalo earned 6 points and Toronto earned 7 points. Toronto can still finish ahead of Buffalo.

To be perfectly Honest, I think I'll scratch the League Wide Chart and just do East / West. Theres no use for a League Wide chart in this case. Now that I think about it!

Thanks for the updates again Shaelon

Just one thing I am confused about: The "points to clinch" columns are great but I don't get how for example Tampa Bay can clinch the conference seed with 11 points. They can only attain 6 more points because they have 3 games remaining and therefore cannot reach 11. Is this 11 points a combination of points gained for TB and points not gained by the first place team in the east, kind of like Magic #?

Otherwise the addition of the playoff indicator chart is awesome!

Doesn't really matter to me who we play although I actually would like them to play Chicago so they can finally slay that dragon. I would say I believe there is a possibility we could play Phoenix cause they play the Sharks twice and might struggle to get more points.

Phoenix is looking like a good possibility now, that would be all home games for the Canucks!

OP, I can't see the tables on the front page, could it be a problem with my browser?

I always find it neat when, like this year in the west, there's only one team on the outside looking in, but there's 4 different teams they could knock out.
