ChenWei91
Any veteran BF2 players here? Don't you guys miss having a commander, and a squad leader? I for one miss it to death. It was probably one of the most memorable thing of Battlefield 2 (for me at least)...

ChenWei91
squad leaders are back now ... how can i join a squad of my choice ? it keeps automatically putting me in a squad and lately im having terrible luck where my squad is made up of snipers who just sit around and idiots who have no idea of how to actually work together having a commander would be brutal in these tight city maps ... just dropping artillery in the alley's would become really annoying and easy kills
lx Birdie xl
All i know is after you die when it gives you a chance to change weapons(for consoles) at the bottom it gives you a bunch of button options.. squads being one.
250Integra
For consoles, press start and you can choose to switch into a different squad.

Worth checking out. http://www.gamespot....ough/index.html In other news, this is how games are advertised in Europe...but seriously...

Ghostsof1915
Commanders most of the time just spammed useless orders and spotting, it was more of an experiment that DICE was performing with BF2.
23•Qwerty
Depends. A good commander would be flexible and be able to wipe out enemy troops if they were concentrated on one spot. The problem of course was communication and getting availability of UAV's. That's where spec ops could mess things up by wiping out your UAV tower, your radar, etc. So it all evened out. It was worse if your Commander was an inflexible git, telling you to go after targets that would just be a meat grinder. That's when you stole tanks, dropped mines from helicopters and just basically disobeyed orders and created havoc! Improvise! Adapt! Overcome! Sanford
AMAZING game... just amazing... I haven't played BF2 in a long time.. So I decided to pilot a chopper today for the first time in years... Well I took off and the chopper went out of control... So I though "This **** is broken" and I crashed killing my squad leader and several other people. There needs to be a pilot school. Then again... everyone is terrible at piloting... DollarAndADream
Played a Caspian Border Conquest with a buddy today and we stayed in the jeep the whole game. LOL I was 2-1 with over 4000 points and got MVP. Just ripped over the hills and through the water recapturing points. It seemed like I barely found anyone to kill.. NightHawkSniper
Caspian Border is easily my favorite map next to Operation Firestorm; best mortar map for me is either the Seine or The Grand Bazaar.
