OMG Earthquake?

Recommended Posts

its because of ground density, composition, and how the shock waves propagate

if you say so

Did the shock waves propagate over or around Calgary?

I was standing on top of the framing of a new house and I didn't feel or see a thing. The text messages came all at once and once I checked them I had thought that Richmond was going to go. Good thing my imagination didn't come true :P

I was at Killarney all day and didn't feel a thing. I didn't know about the earthquake until about an hour ago.

In Nanaimo I didn't feel a thing. Apparently just down the road my friends felt it though. They said all their stuff was rattling. I'm confused. But then again I'm stupidly oblivious.. so who knows.

didn't feel it

i love how everyone is mocking it on twitter. one of these days we'll get the real big one and then we won't be laughing. but for now...thanks for the laughs everyone :)

you'll feel it more if you're on a hill or a couple floors up in a structure. if you're in the valley in burnaby, odds are you didn't feel it. on the hill by metrotown or the mountain at SFU and you probably felt it.

and i felt something here in Chicago, but that was just the usual floor shaking trollys full of heavy equipment that go by periodically through the day :emot-parrot:

i work downtown in a high rise and felt it the second it happened. initially my legs/bones started to shake and i wasnt sure if maybe it was the coffee making it feel weird, nobody on my floor really reacted until i brought it up, then when i stood up i could feel the building im in start to sway very slowly/gently.

DAM NATURE - U SCARY!
