Yeah, tuned in for the second half and wondered if they were going to pull it out. Actually, they shouldn't have if it weren't for Richey. Big save on the PK and right at the end.

Yup. Definitely the save of the match. I watched the last few minutes of the match and got nervous since the Impact had so much pressure on the ball and held possession late while we were playing desperation and clearing the ball whenever they got the ball into the box. Nevertheless, they got the job done and even though we surrendered a away goal, I think they can get the job done especially beating Montreal in league play earlier in the season

read about the game yesterday

seems like the caps have straightened out some problems

and are playing with more focus and direction

good to see

they have a fairly talented team this year

the kids appears to be a bit of a phenom

looking forward to seeing the new striker as well when he is healthy

and our injured new mid fielder will soon be with the team again

they could go on a run

Went both the games on Saturday and on Tuesday.  It's so exciting to watch Davies with the ball.  He's very thin, so he appears small, then suddenly he just walks around defenders because his limbs are so long, catching them unprepared.

He's got a good head on his shoulders, he doesn't really seem to fake or dive like many others in soccer.  He just gets up and get/give a little tap to the opposing player and move on.  None of those flopping and acting like someone who just got shot and then suddenly getting up yelling at each other while nose-to-nose, all those hand gestures, etc.

Just think about it... in another year or two when he's like 18... he'll finally start maturing physically.  Imagine his running going a little quicker, his shots being harder and him having strength to just push players away to create space.

Alphonso will be a gem.... I don't know will he be EPL good, but while I (and probably lots of Caps fans) wishes that he becomes a star and the face of the Whitecaps, I kind of want him to be purchased by a Euro league to maximize his development (and for the team to cash a huge cheque).

Figures.  They beat the best team in the West last week and lose to the worst team in the East this week.

Yep, the ref got suckered on that first penalty.  But the soccer gods gave the Caps a chance to tie it and somehow they missed their third straight penalty kick.

Meh.  Weird game.  Put  it behind them and look forward to Montreal on Tuesday and Atlanta next Saturday.  Could be two entertaining games.

Saw some highlights. Caps hit the post 4 times in the game. Talk about tough luck. Techera hit it twice including the penalty attempt. We deserved a draw at the very least yesterday. Oh well have to scrap it and move on to the next one.

Imagine this man in a Whitecaps Uniform.

Goals has dried up a bit in recent years... but then again the competition level in the MLS is much lower than in Italy, he could probably still be dynamic.

At age 40, the travel and the artificial turf in Vancouver.....

Doesn't help us now, and it's not punishment enough after he had just been fined from the previous week for giving to stop him from doing it again, but it's something.

On to tonight though, with the Caps taking on Montreal again. They advance of the get any win or draw, or if they score at least two and only lose by one. It'll go to extra time if it's a 2-1 for Montreal score.

Put him under additional scrutiny and have the suspension accumulative.  Next random dive, 2 games, fine and fine to the team.  Double from there on.

If he continued I don't think they'd have a choice but to escalate the suspensions. But he'll probably keep his nose clean for a while and the MLS will wipe the slate clean the next time it happens.
