@theshaves: Wolves at home today vs. Rockford. Will wear their St Paddy's Day sweaters 1 final time this season. They have earned 3 of 4 points so far

Sorry if this was mentioned somewhere already. Got this from HFBoards:

@TheSportMarket
Still lots of moving parts b4 March 23rd timeline but watch for Calgary Flames to take on Utica for their AHL affiliation while...(Cont'd)

@TheSportMarket
(Part 2)...St. Louis Blues to affiliate with Chicago Wolves and @VanCanucks to buy Peoria to move to Abbotsford. #ahlcarousel @TEAM1040

Looks like us fans might get our wish. Not only would the Canucks have a new farm team that's close by, but it would be their own. This is NOT CONFIRMED, but obviously somebody has some kind of a scoop.

Lain's on his way to the Wolves:

klain19
Had a great time Vancouver. Loved everything about it. Unreal hockey city! Now heading to Chicago to join the wolves

The Wolves next game is the Marlies on Friday, so he should have a day of practice at least and we'll see if he slots in. Blomstrand would likely be on his way there as well.

If this team lets go of Sang he will burn this team next year.

It's official for Lain and Blomstrand, and Blain has been called up as well.

Chicago_Wolves
3 players have joined the #chicagowolves. Kellan Lain and Ludwig Blomstrand assigned by VAN and Jeremie Blain has been recalled from Idaho.

Blain's a right handed D who was called up earlier in the year and looked fairly comfortable in the 10 games he played. He only registered 1 point in those 10 games, but is a bit of an offensive D man as he had 31 points in 47 games with Idaho in the ECHL.

Regarding the report that the Canucks are going to take over the Peoria Rivermen and bring them to Abbotsford, here's an update:

Andrew Barra@AndrewBarraWMBD50m

BREAKING: The St. Louis Blues will cease the Rivermen operation in Peoria.

Obviously that's not a confirmation that the Canucks are going to buy the Rivermen or anything. It's just one more development in the ongoing story that lends even more credibility to the earlier reports. Hopefully more news keeps filtering in soon.

:picard:

Why would they do that? Were they sending someone back? Now that the K-Wings season is done, they have both Freisen and Mallet back (not sure if Mallet is healed from the cut to his face or if that'd even keep him out), Schroeder sent down and Lain signed. They could use our prospects alone to fill all 4 center positions and they still have others like Kattelus and whoever else they'd been using.

Went and looked at their roster, and they have a number of guys like Kattelus listed as just 'F' instead of LW/RW/C. I guess the people they had been using (while we had Schroeder and Ebbett, and the K-Wings had Freisen and Mallet, and Lain wasn't yet signed) were not really centers then it might make a bit of sense they feel they don't have enough depth for the playoffs.

Chicago Wolves@Chicago_Wolves
#chicagowolves: Defenseman Frank Corrado Joins Wolves - The Vancouver Canucks have assigned defenseman Frank Corra... http://ow.ly/2wc69L

CORRADO completed his fourth Ontario Hockey League season on April 12 when the Kitchener Rangers were eliminated 4-games-to-1 by the London Knights in the second round of the OHL’s Western Conference Championship. He recorded 2 points (G, A) in 10 postseason contests with the Rangers.

The 20-year-old defenseman set career-highs with 7 goals, 38 assists, and 45 points in 69 regular-season games split between Kitchener and the Sudbury Wolves. His 38 helpers shares sixth among OHL blueliners, while his 45 points tied for 11th.

Overall, the Toronto native amassed 95 assists, 110 points, and 310 penalty minutes in 259 career OHL games with Sudbury and Kitchener spanning four seasons (2009-13).

CORRADO posted an assist in four regular-season tilts with the Wolves last season after he was signed to an Amateur Tryout Contract (ATO) on April 2, 2012. He also skated in two Calder Cup playoff games with Chicago.

The Wolves travel to Wisconsin for the final time this year when they battle the Milwaukee Admirals in an Amtrak Rivalry contests at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16.

and maybe even unpin it? ::D
People who label others as bandwagoners, people who tell other people "how" to cheer for their team, "how" they should act or what they should wear to "support" their team, people who only want to hear positive thoughts and don't want to read about how the team can do better - these are people who are insecure and uncomfortable within their own skin.

I'll support my team the way I choose, thank you very much. You can choose to support your team the way you want to, and I won't judge you on it as long as you don't try to force your beliefs on me. I'll also be quick to point out where I think the team can do better, because identifying that there is a problem is the first step to fixing it; denying or ignoring a problem won't solve anything.

Go Canucks Go.
