Im sure this guy would be tearing it up in the AHL right now. To bad about the lame rule with Junior aged players and what not. I would love to see him on a line with Shroeder and Kassian right now.

That's the future of the Canucks, I'll bet my hat on it...

...also my truck.

Well either Shroeder or Gaunce at centre.

There is time between now and the end of the Sedin/Kesler era to draft another center. I think the Canucks may even aquire a high draft pic or high end prospect in the Luongo deal. I think at some point the Canucks will replace what Hodgson was going to bring.

Why is Bartschi allowed to play in the AHL and not Jensen.

Was it because he played 5 games in the NHL or some other reason.

No, it was because he played in the NHL. A clause was added for this year to the NHL/CHL agreement allowing 2011 1st rounders who had played in the NHL to play in the AHL this year.

I actually prefer him the SEL . Even though the AHL is the much better NHL developement leauge, the is a higher skilled Leauge.

Players Nikolaj Ehlers have been compared too by the fan base of the Vancouver Canucks.

1 Pavel Bure

2 Markus Naslund

3 Nathan Mackkinon

4 Jonathan Drouin.

5 Jonathan Tavares

combine results.  Ehlers 5'11 162 lbs of solid rock.

Doesn't apply (since Sven was only a recall), and doesn't matter.

Baertschi is 20 already. Anybody who turns 20 by Dec. 31st can play in the AHL this year. Jensen doesn't turn 20 until March, so he can't play there until next season.

^ This. Jensen is still required to play in junior when in NA due to the age agreement between the CHL and NHL since he doesn't turn 20 until March of next year. Baertschi turned 20 on October 5 of this year.

Well hopefully he gets back in the top 6 when they resume, it's like they want him to fail or something.

Different skill, not higher. Important skills like onetime-pass, onetimers and quick desisions in general are way behind AHL standards [here] in sweden

Cooled down quite a bit. Not shocked. His team stinks and he's going to face some tight checking.

Nevertheless, he'll need to learn plow through that if he wants to make the NHL.

Jensen picked up 2 assists against Norway. So that means he had 2 pts in 2 games.
