"Crytek, developers of Crysis and a company known to push the limits of videogame visuals, have confirmed that their brand new engine, CryEngine 3, is running on the Wii U. While Crytek isn't showing anything just yet, they confirmed to Develop that the engine is running on the Wii U and that Crytek fully supports Nintendo's new console. "

Since the Wii U is more powerful than PS3 and Xbox 360, it will have absolutely no problems. Maybe Wii U will also get Frostbite 2!

too bad the wii u will most likely port its games from xbox 360 =/

until the xbox 720 and ps4 of course

Maybe not. Maybe yes. I don't know. But whatever it will be, it will be awesome.
But I don't know about the Xbox 720, but for the Wii U being more powerful than the PS4, please refer to post #48.

I think it's ironic that the Wii's major selling point was the motion controls, but relatively few games made use of the motion controls.

Some of the most popular games, like Super Smash Brothers Brawl, gave you the option to remove it entirely.

Just found a FAQ for the Wii U-http://gizmodo.com/5...tendo-wii-u-faq

Why Wii U will have killer graphics-http://www.youtube.c...h?v=Shch7LNkVXw
these were the featured graphics at E3 2011, when the Wii U was in its very early stages.

Games Radar made a list of new characters that should be i Super Smash Bros Wi U.-http://www.gamesrada...u-must-include/ Do you agree?

Also, check out- http://e3.nintendo.com for more information.

Once again people, Sony has decided to copy Nintendo. Sony announced that PS vita could be used as a controller for the PS3. How funny, Sony had no intention of this until Nintendo announced Wii U. This is why Nintendo pulled Wii U from the Games Com. They didn't want Sony to steal any more ideas. Sony is so f****** annoying! Nintendo was the one who actually helped make the original Playstation, and now Sony tries to kill Nintendo with Nintendo's own ideas. WTF!

They need some golden sun characters and some axe, pole, and magic wielders from fire emblem.

and that tom clancey game looks amazing already.

Nintendo has just confirmed that the Wii U will be more expensive than the original Wii. So, the Wii was $250 US, and $280 CAN. http://www.xe.com/uc...From=USD&To=CAD Now they are about the same, so we can talk in US. So if it was $250, and Wii U will be more expensive so my best guess would be around $300-$375. Most likely $350, which is in my opinion, a good price.

-this translates to Dec 26 7:00 pm Pacific time.you can watch it live in Japanese here- http://www.ustream.t...do_Direct/shows

Unfortunately, that is the Japan version(in Japanese). the US version of the conference will be on Dec 27. - but the US version is still a rumor, and nothing has been conformed in english. I don't think it will be confirmed, but maybe we'll get one with subtitles.

Will Wii U Include an App Store?

http://www.pcworld.c..._app_store.html

"When Nintendo’s Wii U launches next year, it’ll have a “full-blown app store,” The Daily’s Matt Hickey reports, citing an unnamed source.

"We haven't heard any hard news related to the Wii U itself in quite awhile - but it looks like the drought is about to end. GTTV host Geoff Keighley has reported via Twitter that the Regginator is scheduled to join him this Tuesday to discuss Nintendo's plans for the Wii U in 2012. More than likely this will be significantly more inconsequential than his last appearance on the gaming show, which saw the debut of a brand-new Skyward Sword trailer, but we'll be keeping our eyes on GTTV in a couple days just to make sure. I doubt that specific date (probably the webmaster's birthday or something) and the price is most likely just a deposit, but I'll be preordering it as soon as they release a date. my Wii is buzzing something fierce and occasionally shuts down, I'm going to have replace it soon, and I'll just do that with the Wii U (hopefully my account gets transferred over so I can re-DL the virtual console games on my Wii U).

the guy's a blathering idiot, i'd take anything he says with about a pound of salt. Nintendo already has shown HUGE 3rd party support, but who knows how much will be ready at launch... if nintendo is to believed about the easy portability we'll at least have a buttload of 3rd party ports of PS3 and 360 games within the first couple months.

Nintendo did say that there will be nothing beyond the demos at E3 2011. But then again, Nintendo could give us another surprise.
I wish this show was on a weekend. I will miss it because of school.Posted Image

If they don't let me transfer all my downloaded game like Mario 1,3, Sonic 1,2,3, and the old Donkey Kongs, Zelda 64 i will not buy this.

They must let me transfer the games I don't want to have to use two wii systems.

You don't need two systems. The other one is a Wii U.
They probably will let you transfer your account to the Wii U and then you can download it. Maybe you can put them on an SD card and transfer the games.

Looks like Microsoft's joining Sony. No, they aren't turning into one company. Just like Sony always copies Nintendo, the Next box may also have a tablet controller. Let me guess! This impresses everyone that weren't impressed by the Wii U. Just because its Microsoft.

CES 2012 Wii U demos. They are the same as E3.
Except one demo. It was at E3, but no one taped it and it was ignored. It is called Panoramic view. Though, it is one of the best features!

The above link has all the demos including Panoramic view. The link below has only the Panoramic view. I prefer the top link.

http://www.youtube.c...h?v=nxWCrt19Dpc

And remember the interview of Reggie Fils Aime that was going to come on TV, well here it is.
