NuxFan09
Grenier seems to be cooling off lately. He had another scoreless game and had only 1 shot on net for Kalamazoo in a 4-3 OT win over the Toledo Walleye today. He finished with an even rating. stonecoldstevebernier
That's great, glad we finally have him under contract. And with the move to Peoria next season, he won't be stuck in the ECHL any longer.
Ghostsof1915
We could totally mess up San Jose by putting Grenier, Lain and Archibald on our 4th line. Size, size and more size!
Canvoucer Vanuck
^ He doesn't use it though. But nonetheless, good to see him signed. Hoping for a line of Blomstrand - Mallet - Grenier next season!
Derp...
Was he DQ'd from the prospects tourny? I was hoping to see him play there.
elvis15
Grenier didn't make the top 10 of the Hockey Prospectus review of our prospect pool, but he did make the next five: 12. Alexandre Grenier, Right Wing: Grenier bounced between the Austrian league, ECHL, and the AHL last season. He has good hands, finishing skill, and a big frame but needs to get a quicker first step. wshdrvvn
i like the fact that he was a late bloomer in juniors, then in his first pro year, actually showed progression through the year, right into playing pretty solid for chicago at the end of the year. he's one of the guys that really needs to keep progressing or else risk being lost in the shuffle with all the new talent we've drafted. elvis15
He has a ways to go from the raw talent he was, but I can see how he's been improving when I watched a bit last year. He has a lot of the tools that could make him stand out so he'll just have to figure out how to make best use of them.

Chronic.Canuck
He's come a long way from being stuck in the ECHL last season. I guess we can chalk that up to the Wolves... Good luck with them St Louis :D

He's been termed as a raw player needing more development and to grow into his size, and if we're patient he could be a good second liner or at least an excellent grinder in the NHL. Bananas
Does he play with a lot of energy? It sounds like he's got first call-up at the rate he's going, since he can play a bottom 6 role, but may have the talent for 3rd or even 2nd line. Having a player like Grenier emerge would be a HUGE bonus.
