The goal was nice, but notice the competition - he beat two defensemen on foot speed alone. He towers over everyone in that league, still an upgrade over junior I guess.

In his defence, his footspeed for his size is excellent and he probably pulled an Erik Cole "I'm faster than I look" and surprised the defense to get that breakaway, along with his nifty move.

No doubt this is far from the NHL, but it's still good to see that Grenier has the confidence to pull moves like that.

Alot better than him struggling. And like you, said it's a step up from junior since he's playing against men now.

This is what he's in the Austrian league for. To work on skills like this, without expecting to goon it up like he would in the AHL.

Good foot speed and hands on that play. What he will need to really improve on is his puck battle skills and getting stronger on the back check. I hope he can round out a physical game aswell. I hope he can put it all together and be a Canuck one day.

He is there because of the coaching. Cannot remember the coach's name but he tailors his player's game to NHL patterns.

Anyone know why Grenier didn't play last game, and if he's going to play today?

The Good News: Grenier is back playing, and he was bumped up to the first line. And they even have him playing centre, which is weird cause he's a right winger. He may have just been filling in for someone though.

The Bad News: No points for him yesterday

Grenier with a goal in Salzburg's 5-4 loss today.

And if the lineup chart is right, they had him playing defense today...

Grenier with a goal and an assist yesterday in Salzburg's 4-0 win.

He now has 9 points (3G,6A) in 14 GP, and is back centering the first line.

Highlights from a few days ago.

Grenier is number 59. He has a nice drop pass, and scores a goal in the first half of the highlights.

Sam Gagner also scores a ridiculous goal, and has two goals on the night.

Highlights from yesterday's 4-0 win. Grenier is number 59 and is all over the highlight package.

He basically scored two goals, but his shot barely touched another player right in front of the net. His second goal was a beauty breakaway goal though, it made play of the day.

Grenier with another goal in Salzburg's 4-1 win today.

He now has 10 pts (4G,6A) in 15 GP. And he's still on the first line, but was moved to the wing.

November 20th 2013, Canucks just lost their 5th straight game. Last time this happened the Canucks, they missed the playoffs.

Good to see. He hasn't even been playing for Salzburg for awhile.

It will be good to get him playing again. And we all know the Wolves could use some help up front now.

This is actually a nice situation. The Canucks can now assess Grenier's play in the AHL on their farm team without potentially wasting a contract spot by signing him themselves. It'll definitely be interesting to follow another prospect in the AHL.

Kassian.... Taylor Pyatt 3.0

Lies. He's more of a Steve Bernier. Hopefully his talent level goes up so he can become like a Taylor Pyatt.
