avelanch
First-ever trip to PSU next up for Wisconsin Series is the first of two remaining in the regular season No. 5 Wisconsin (19-9-2, 10-5-1-0 Big Ten) looks to keep the pressure on conference-leading Minnesota when it travels to Penn State for the first time ever. The weekend series will be the second of the year for the two teams, which also met on Dec. 6-7 in Madison. The Badgers swept that set, cruising to a 7-1 win on Friday before holding on for a 4-3 victory on Saturday. The Badgers enter the weekend seven points behind conference-leading Minnesota, and four points ahead of Michigan. Both games begin at 6 p.m. CT. Neither game will air on television, but both will be accessible via the UWBadgers.com video stream ($). The games are also available on the radio, on WIBA-AM 1310. avelanch
LaBate had no points and was +1 with 5 shots in the two games against penn state this weekend. The win means the Badgers will enter the season’s final weekend five points behind conference-leading Minnesota. The Badgers would clinch the Big Ten title with a road sweep of Michigan State and a pair of Minnesota road losses to Michigan.
