I liked Corrado from the first time I watched him ina prospects pre season game. He reads the game so well has a bit of a mean streak, positionally very sound. But here's the bonus both Tanev and him are right handed which takes care of a difficult piosition for years to come. Now we just need to keep our fingers crossed that we get another couple of players from the Connauton McNally Price Polasak Anderson bunch and it sets the team up. I think Sauve like the turkey is all but done.

Am I wrong; Corrado is the only junior invited to the Canuck's main camp???

Would be great justice if Corrado made the Nucks and Spott got stiffed trading for him! :) :) :)

These last few weeks have been great for Corrado's development.

-Goes into WJC training camp and realizes he can hang with the best in the country (feeling great)
-Gets cut by the coach (feeling sad)
-Gets acquired by the coach's team most likely under his advisement (feeling great again!)

he's the only one the nucks named at the beginning of the lockout as being eligible to be recalled for training camp.

3-4 years? That is absolutely an exaggeration.

Last season, he adapted seamlessly to AHL play in his 6 games, 2 of those playoff games. His ability to read the play at a higher level than others will be his meal ticket to the NHL a lot quicker than 4 years. After watching his stint in the AHL, i was convinced he would be able to play top 4 minutes with the Chicago Wolves this season, if only he were allowed. He is mentally ready, his body just needs to catch up and i've noticed significant changes in his strength from his first camp to now. He's not that far away.

I don't doubt him, I'm just taking into account our insane depth we always seem to have now and the philosophy we used with tanev. Why have him play 6 and 7th man minutes when we can groom him with top line minutes in the ahl. We all felt tanev could have played all season last year but just for development and ice time we kept him down.

He very well may get to stick around sooner and an injury could give him a spot that he never let's go of or something but I stand by my prediction of at least 3 years before he's here full time.

Edit
Finishing his last year of junior and spending 2 years in the ahl when we have a deep contending team is not an exaggeration, it's common sense backed with reference to our last cool and calm defense prospect.

I think some one pointed out that Sauve is on the way out.I think this has been over looked. He development should have come to fruition be now. Corrado being named before Sauve is what should have been noticed.

Is this the Sauve thread?

Corrado looks like a total steal. Happy about that.

Just sayin', Corrado looks like he could, and he should, grow a mad afro. That would be the sickest thing, for him to go to fight someone, take off his helmet and a massive ball of hair explodes out from his helmet.

I think if Edler doesn't re-sign, we may see a Garrison - Corrado pairing in the not so distant future.

If Garrison can continue becoming an elite shutdown D and Corrado continues his two way dominance, it could look like a 2nd Hamhuis - Bieksa pairing.

Edler WON'T be resigning. He is going to get his payday from Detroit.

And I like your suggestion. Let Garrison run wild while Corrado stays dependable in our end. He is looking like a poor man's Hamhuis. I think we got a steal :)

So they've been specifically skating with each other for months because they're gay for each other? Cool story.

no, everyone is speculating because of the cost of his contract and the cap dropping.

But, back to Corrado: The Rangers will be on Friday Night Hockey on Sportsnet, this Jan 25.

The Kitchener Rangers will be featured on Rogers Sportsnet’s Friday Night Hockey on Friday, January 25. Rogers Sportsnet will broadcast the Rangers and Erie Otters live from the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium for Canadian Hockey League fans across the country.

Ticket holders are advised that in order to accommodate the broadcast, the Kitchener Rangers Hockey Club has changed the game time of the Friday, January 25 game against the Erie Otters to 7:00pm ET.

how's Corrado doing at camp?
regarding edler, MG is trying to trade him because he wont take a pay cut to stay in Van. Unfortunately, Gillis cannot get a top 4 d man out of Toronto (Gardiner or Gunnersson)

For anyone that happens to take the above seriously, I want to point out this is total, 100% speculation by the poster. Try not to present things as facts when they're essentially just your own thoughts.

Do you have a source for that? If not, then I doubt it's true.

Corrado was on the Team1040 earlier, and talked about playing for Spott now and their playoff aspirations, doing the best he can in camp, but mostly getting everything he can out of the experience. Link will probably be up on their site later.

EDIT: here it is.

Ok, now that Corrado's back in Kitchener, the Friday night game against Erie is going to be on Sportsnet One (4pm PT). A good chance to watch Corrado and McEneny.

Playing Brampton tonight, currently 3-3 in OT. Corrado's a +1 with no points, but McEneny has an assist (-2).

Kassian.... Taylor Pyatt 3.0

Lies. He's more of a Steve Bernier. Hopefully his talent level goes up so he can become like a Taylor Pyatt.

Yeah, so about that....

Anyway, Corrado went scoreless and was +1 for Kitchener in a 4-3 shootout win over the Brampton Battalion today.

Corrado got the first assist on the OT winner last night against Sudbury and was a -1. This brings his to 6g 25a for 31 points so far this season.

Kitchener's next game is on the 25th against Erie.

It seems like he's not getting the same offensive minutes he had been in Sudbury. Murphy controls those top minutes of course, so harder to get a sniff in. Hope he still finds ways to develop his offence while playing in Kitchener.
