Corrado played tonight (0pts, +3) in a 6-4W.

Kassian.... Taylor Pyatt 3.0

Lies. He's more of a Steve Bernier. Hopefully his talent level goes up so he can become like a Taylor Pyatt.

Ever since training camp this pick has looked like an absolute steal.

Corrado's at

GAMES 56 GOALS 3 ASSISTS 22 POINTS 25 PIM 79 +/- 30

Sort of dropped back a bit in offense from his start to the season but still pretty impressive, the plus minus is very impressive as well, and this kid's a definite steal in the 5th. Selected one pick earlier and ten years after Bieksa, that's an interesting coincidence and perhaps a good omen :emot-parrot:

I remember during Canucks training camp a Sudbury Wolves fan saying that he wanted Corrado back ASAP because he was so important to the Wolves. I guess that's not really a big deal, it's just refreshing that the Canucks have a late round prospect that plays such an important role. His +30 ranks 10th in the OHL, which is pretty impressive when you consider his team is 5th in the OHL eastern conference and has only a +3 goal differential. He'll be another great young defenseman to develop on the Wolves to follow Tanev/Connauton/Sauve/Polasek once he's done in junior.

57GP 3G 22A 25PTS +28 79PIM on the season, good stuff and a better PPG ratio than last season, never mind that amazing +/-.

I was hoping for 40 points out if him, but from what i heard hes been shutting down other teams top lines and the +/- is a great idication on how well he has done the job. Its too bad not many late round drafted defense even get an invite to Canada's Junior camp beacause i think he has a shot to make the team next year. But sadly they only pick players with high draft pedigree.

Well think of how many top-ranked defenseman are in this year's draft and how many from last year will still be in juniors...It'll be a very long shot for Corrado to even get an invite.

Dougie Hamilton's not gonna make the Bruins next year, so he's a lock on defense next year. Scott Harrington won't make the Pittsburgh Penguins, so he's a lock on defense next year as well. Nathan Beaulieu, if he doesn't make the Montreal Canadiens, will have a good chance to make the team again as well.

Then there are the top-ranked defensemen from the 2011 draft class - Duncan Siemens, Ryan Murphy, Jamie Oleksiak and Joe Morrow.

Then there are the top-ranked defensemen from the 2012 draft class - Ryan Murray (already made Team Canada last year - so if he doesn't make the NHL right away, will be a lock to make the team), Mathew Dumba, Morgan Rielly, Griffin Reinhart, Derrick Pouliot, Cody Ceci and Slater Koekoek.

Even if Corrado is better than almost all 2012 draft class defensemen (except Murray), he still has to beat out Siemens, Murphy, Oleksiak and Morrow. I'd love to see him make it, but there's a reason why most late round picks don't make it - there's so many good young defensemen at the junior level, especially this draft year.

Oh okay.

So just Dougie Hamilton and Scott Harrington as a lock. Murray might make the NHL seeing as he's going to a really bad team as a top 5 pick - if not, he'll be a lock as well.

Duncan Siemens, Ryan Murphy, and Jamie Oleksiak would be the front-runners, along with Mathew Dumba, Morgan Rielly and Griffin Reinhart.

2nd tier is Stuart Percy, Frankie Corrado, Derrick Pouliot, Cody Ceci, Slater Koekoek, etc IMO.

Corrado was pointless and had a -2 rating for the Sudbury Wolves in a 2-0 loss to the Belleville Bulls. Corrado and the Wolves finish their regular season tomorrow against the Kingston Frontenacs.

I think it's goaless for him for 45 games or so? All 3 of his goals came very early on in the season. But none the less, solid season for him.

November 20th 2013, Canucks just lost their 5th straight game. Last time this happened the Canucks, they missed the playoffs.

Good year he needs to be a bit more consistent but I honestly think he could be a hamhuis type of defenceman some day.

Any chance for him to reach the "A" next season? Also if he does reach the NHL one day, when will that be? I'm excited just from watching how steady he is; if he can keep up his solid play with the ability jump up but still maintain his strong +/- in the NHL I'd love for him and Edler together

2012, meet Matthew 24:36-47!

I wouldn't be surprised if Frankie is made Alternate for next year, if one of the current Captains is leaving. My timetable on him making the NHL is about 3-4 years. Maybe he can surprise us and take less. I don't think he'll be paired with Edler though, I can see Tanev locking up that Top 4 RD position with Edler next season or the year after. I could see Corrado coming in and be a 3rd pairing player for us who is solid defensively with a knack for offense (ceiling would be Bieksa without brain farts) and is feisty and physical, who can move up the depth chart as Hammer and Juice get older. I really like Corrado as a prospect and he's a definite steal from the 5th round.

OHL Playoffs update for Frank Corrado:

Corrado and his Sudbury Wolves have had a tough go of it so far in their 1st round series with the Brampton Battalion. They trail the series 3-0 and have been outscored 14-3 overall. Corrado has no points, 6 PIMS and a -1 rating throughout the series so far. Game 4 goes today at 7:30PM EST.

Looks like it's going to be an early exit for Corrado this year. Oh well, hopefully he spends some quality time with the Wolves when he's done.
