He has to sign by June 1st - not sure if that's on June 1st or the day before, I just read it in here yesterday: http://canucks.nhl.c...s.htm?id=668600

Westerholm, Honzik, and Price also have to sign before then if we want to retain their rights.

Ah, thanks. It sounds like they have to sign him before June 1st from that article.

But I recall him expressing an interest in coming over so hopefully they'll get it done soon.

I really hope we sign him he's someone that we could probably use in our system. Clock high minutes plays on the power play, puts up numbers from the blueline. I heard he's not afraid to get gritty and get in front of players.

Here are his highlights from 2011-2013. Glad we signed him as he thinks the game very well and is dangerous on offense.

Can we just draft every Swedish player named Henrik?

They seem to turn into pretty good hockey players.

Looks like he has a solid shot but more importantly makes very good pases as well as being a smooth skater. Like a Christian Erhoff type player that the Canucks can develop.

looks like he has a real nice wrist shot, good release. Love that he tries to walk the line something our defense doesnt do very well at all. Probably easier on the big ice though.

So he is right sied dominant Dman?

Thats good cause our system lacks plays that can play the right side especially if he is left handed.

Expect that Hamhuis and Garrison playing together have been crushing it defensively.

PLaying the defensive side of the puck Garrison can be a liability. He always strikes me as not under standing his coverage which I guess is why he has Hamhuis as his partner

Since the initial adjustment to the right side that took a couple games, Garrison has been our second best defenceman next to Hamhuis (which isn't saying a lot lately, but he's been a very close second).

lets be honest here it's tough to pick a D that has had a great series. Garrison is so hesitant...often leads to poor choice of passes. Love him on the PP but have a lump in my throat when he's 5 on 5

Agreed. Aside from Luongo and game 2 Kesler, everyone's been pretty awful. I meant more regular season though, Garrison was starting to play very well on Hamhuis' right.

Good pace to the 4-on-4 game today. A lot of goals and some dirty dangles. Tommernes, Corrado, Cassels and Jensen with a Sedin like shift.

so happy he's in NA now. seems weird he was only drafted in 2011, feels like we've been waiting to see if he's gonna come over for years. can't wait to see him at main camp, he was far more developed than most of the guys at the prospects camp. young stars tourney should be interesting for him too.

A pairing of him and Cederholm in the future.

i'd like to see him and corrado as the top pair in utica next season for 2 reasons. 1) being that our top 4 in Van is set for awhile so even though corrado is NHL ready to a point, he could stand to marinate a year longer. 2) tommernes looks like a hell of an offensive threat, (backchecks hard too, his defense looked great against the other prospects) so i want him to be able to take some risks and make some mistakes and know he will be covered by corrado. henrik could be fast tracked to the nhl playing with frank.

uuuugh youve never even seen cederholm play a game. let alone a north American game. stop setting him up fpr failure. half of our first three rounds in the draft don't work out what makes you think he will? because he can smash a medicine ball against the wall?

Holy Debbie Downer over here. You're right though, negativity is the only way to go. Every prospect is a bust. Why set them up for failure? Let's call them all failures to start and hope they break out and stop being so awful at everything they do.
