lol. Not every player is worth taking you know..... ;)

In all seriousness, picking up a guy on waivers just because is not a very good management strategy. There has to be a reason that they make your team better or they are just taking up a spot from someone who would.

[REPORT}

The Minnesota Wild are bracing for another key injury to the forward corps after already dealing with Travis Zajac and Brad Boyes on the injured reserve. Devin Setoguchi was limping noticeably and left the game against San Jose tonight after only four shifts. He was reportedly seen wearing a soft cast on his right leg and will be re-evaluated Wednesday. He is not expected to play on Thursday but the Wild are hopeful that it may not be as serious as first feared.

GM wallstreetamigo took the news in stride, saying "Injuries are part of the game and I don't think we are in a position to complain about our bad luck. When you look at the injuries other teams around the league have been dealing with, it gives you the proper perspective. Injuries are not even close to a reason for our subpar start to the season nor will I ever let anyone suggest that they are."

Harsh words that seem to hint changes may be coming.

The Boston Bruins maintain their philosophy of patience.

Keep calm - Carry on

After a month of injury after injury, there is no doubt that there is a heavy fog of fatigue in the Boston locker room. Greensman proudly praised his core players for their efforts and perseverance through these tough times. "It is hard not to get panicked, and make moves for short term results. Making `the hard choices` doesn`t make you popular with fans, and often means some sacrifice and extra efforts may be necessary." Here, the Greensman obviously refers to the rest of the team`s ability to cover the absence of some core players.

So far this month, still with many open roster spots, the Bruins have posted well over 200 points. This puts our last week`s efforts in the top 10 in production so far this month. The Sedins. Hansen and Bieksa have been consistent producers, but it is the efforts of players like Troy Brouwer, Derek Stepan, Drew Stafford and David Schlemko that have made the biggest difference.

The team is close to both the Capitals and the Nordiques, who are obstacles to Bruin`s playoff hopes. With Lubmir Visnovsky, Wojtek Wolski and Randy Jones all set to return within days, it seems there might be a christmas after all for Boston fans... As the team regains it`s core strength, rumour still has it that Greensman is shopping a shortlist of NHL ready and experienced prospects, as well as his 1st round draft pick, to bolster forward strength. He is hoping to add up to 2 roster players in the coming weeks.

Approx. 30 more points tonight... Brouwer had a great night, Stafford is getting results and Ward pulled off a win. :)

Montreal is very pleased with the production it got yesterday from the 4 players that were in action.

19 points out of Chad Larose, Erik Condra, Pat Dwyer and Braydon Coburn, as all four guys put points on the board. This is the type of production that the Habs have been looking for.

Also, rumors are quietly building up steam here in town, as GM _arby_18 appears to be considering a massive move that would change the entire dynamic of the team... Sources suggest that a few major players could be involved, and that the Habs GM is agonizing over the offer. Stay tuned...

Zajac back at practice and last word that I've heard out of New Jersey is they expect him to see game action before Christmas. So some reinforcements are on the way for you!
