The problem with that is, this is a fantasy game with strictly tangible results. I have never looked at anything beyond that to value players. That's the great thing about fantasy hockey in my mind, every player has a tangible, recordable and comparable value. Things like leadership, effort, hockey IQ cannot be measured and therefor should have no impact in fantasy hockey. But now we are giving value to things outside the realm of fantasy hockey, it just doesn't fit. And 50 points is quite a bit as well. That's the difference between 4th and 8th right now.

Just seems weird to me. I've played fantasy sports for many years, and trying to give value to intangeible things seems bizare.

Zach Parise - 1 assist = 3

Krys Barch - 5 PIM = 5

Scott Hartnell - 1 assist, 1 PPP = 4

Dustin Byfuglien - 4 PIM = 4

Jamie Benn - 1 goal, +3 = 9

Matt Duchene - 1 OTGWG, +1 = 9? 7? 8?

Total = 32/33/34

Didn't have a huge night from anyone, but contributions across the board. Only Clark and Nichol got nothing.

The Boston Bruins wish well to all of our combatants taking part in the WJC`s:

Jaden Schwartz - Captain of Team Canada towel.gif

Quinton Howden - Alternate for Team Canada

Adam Clendening - Defense for Team USA

Christopher Gibson - Goalie for Finland

Martin Marincin - Defense for Slovakia

Martin Gernat - Defense for Slovakia

Honourable mention to Zack Phillips, who was cut from his respective roster.

This will be a very exciting Christmas season... very exciting indeed.

Most looking forward to seeing Team Canada`s performance... second will be to see the two Slovakian giants in action! So stoked!!

So...while there is no action around the Weekend , we´ll honour our Player of the Week....BRENDEN MORROW! :)

Brenden collected 28 Points this Week and a total of 53 this Month untill now.

He´s one of our important Veterans besides David Legwand, Martin Erat and Jarome Iginla.

Even our Top 6 offence looks a little bit old aged....they still have a huge Impact on the Team and is one of the best in the League.

Brenden Morrow: 28 Pool Points this Week

From the Shark Tank

TGC has a good idea, there is a certain quiet for a few days, and so The Sharks would like to extend a big welcome back to the ice to James Reimer, our Man of the Week with 25 points. James missed 18 games with a head and neck injury after starting the season 4-0-1 in net.

He came back to the team on Dec 3rd, he returned to the ice, albeit a little off form, going 1-3-1 in his first five back.

Clearly, he has regained the touch, posting 2-0-1 this past week, with a .940 save percentage in for the week and a 2.27 GAA.

Those 25 point weeks were sorely missed by San Jose during his absence over six weeks, and for that, he is our Man of the Week.

1st Star

G Ilya Bryzgalov - 65 pool points in December, stabilizing our goaltending situation and starting to get into his groove.

2nd Star

F Curtis Glencross - has 55 points this month, including 3 goals in the last two games. He has been a leader offensively with the injuries.

3rd Star

D Derek Smith/D Anton Stralman - both considered scrap heap dmen by many to start the season but given the changes on D in Minny, both have stepped up into top 4 roles and have shown their worth. 39 and 37 pool points respectively in December.

The future is bright!

Congratulations to D Brandon Gormley for the honor of wearing an "A" for Canada at the WJC.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL YOU GUYS AND YOUR FAMILIES!
