The league is looking for a new executive. Apply with c2x if you are interested and tell me why you feel you would be a good choice.

Professionalism, dedication, loyalty, and maturity are key aspects we will be looking for.

What responsibilities would the executive have?

What responsibilities would the executive have?

Good question.

- Assisting with free agency/contract negotiations.
- Keeping track of and posting injury reserve players.
- Roster analysis (ensuring players are happy in their roles)
- Helping to grow the league.
- Contributing to future developments/advancements.
- Recruiting new members if/when needed.

We may be looking for more than one, but that is undecided at this point.

Clarify?

What are you Mr. Data from star trek now?

I thought maybe you had meant GM seeings as how Venom unfortunately left but now I see you meant you guys are expanding the league executive.

Seems like a lot of work for 3 guys given there are 30 individual players and a hell of a lot of movement in these type of leagues.

While I got a moment -

I don't think there should be a minor league IR for three reasons.

1 - What happens if you have an injured player, then sign someone to 'replace' him, then the original player comes back and push's you over your minor league budget?

It would force you to make a trade, or just it could happen that nobody notices and then you would be able to get more players then your budgets allowed.

2 - it's a lot of extra work to monitor that, as some GM's have players that they are holding onto that are playing in Europe etc.

3 - Why not just call the player up and then place him on your NHL IR? ( if you are really worried about it)

The players in your minors are not counting for points...

Last season I wasn't allowed to place my minor league player on my NHL IR because he wasn't listed on the NHL team's IR. If we change that, and allow minor leagues to be a part of the IR, then yes I agree there would be no need for a minor league IR

Seems like c2x jumped the gun on me...hehe....stealing all my 'le' thunder, as it were, but....

I would like to inform the membership that I will be stepping down as an agent for the league effective Oct 1. I will be staying on as GM of the Isles and as a League Exec as well as maintaining the LTIR.

With an expected increase in my IRL workload I no longer feel I am able to provide the type and quality of effort required for the position. At this time I feel too spread thin between the demands of the position and the demands of my personal life.

It has been an honour to serve you all!

I am pretty upset to hear that Venom. Your General Managing style always seemed to get the most out of me in deals. You were definitely one of the stronger Genereal Managers in my books.

Why?

i know it has came to surprise to most of you, but i just have not felt very energetic or motivated in this league for over a season now, and i felt that it wasnt fair to my team myself, my fellow gms, or the comissioners.

this is a great league and i have made some great friends and memories with you all and i will keep in touch, but i hope you can find a gm who is able to change the tides into san jose to really make them the cup contender i was unable to fully accomplish.

i hope you all understand, ands once again, good luck in the upcoming season and in life

You know, I wasn't sure I was going to post this and just let you have your space but I feel I must.

I am sorry to see you go not just because we are losing a good GM. I am sorry because I know you to be a truly quality individual. You have always displayed grace and class and the above post proves it again.

We are poorer without you. I hope you can regain some desire and rejoin us when you feel you can give it your all.

Roster Set

After signing NHL tough guy Jay Rosehill and promising Leafs prospect Greg Mckegg the Toronto Maple Leafs have announced that this is the roster they will be heading into training camp with. With camp set to open early on Friday Leafs GM Ovechkinator believes this years roster is much stronger than the roster that the team iced this time last year. The Leafs believe the depth of this years roster will give them that much needed firepower to push them into the playoff position they have been so desperate to make the past few seasons.

Alexander Ovechkin - Paul Stastny - Phil Kessel
Nikolai Kulemin - Brandon Dubinsky - Ryan Callahan
Nazem Kadri - Shawn Horcoff - Colby Armstrong
Nick Foligno - Ryan Shannon - Matt Beleskey
Paul Bissonnette - Louis Leblanc - Jay Rosehill
Chris Terry - Greg Mckegg - Marcel Mueller
- Philippe Paradise - Kenny Ryan

Luke Schenn - Scott Hannan
Keith Aulie - Cam Barker
Mark Fistric - Jared Cowen
Viatcheslav Voinov - Tyler Cuma
Korbinian Holzer - Jessie Blacker

Henrik Lundqvist
Henrik Karlsson
Jussi Rynaas

Looking good man that first line looks dangerous if Crosby comes back early. You have come in and took over a team which was in for a longhaul rebuild and started making it your own straight away. Defense has a lot of good youth and Crawford in net is looking solid for next season. Think you are good for the playoffs? We both managed in the West last year should be interesting to see how it goes in the deep east.
