Hugemanskost
Too young. Too troubled. Too sad. You fought a great many battles and succeeded. I am saddened that you couldn't win your last. Toughest pound for pound fighter I have seen other than Stan Jonathan. Rest In Peace, Rick.

RunningWild
Rest in Peace, Rick. Just the saddest news. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and teammates. Canucks organization has been through a lot in the last few years. I hope Rick finds his peace.

His former NHL club, the Vancouver Canucks released a statement that Rypien attended therapy for severe mental depression during multiple leaves of absence last season and expressed their condolences to the Winnipeg Jets and his friends and family.
