some are saying that the pressure fighters are under to fight in a game is to much for some to bare...i for one don't agree with that assumption. but i don't have all the facts either..
i for one do not want them to ban fighting if they actually are. i don't care for the cave dwellers meeting at center and slugging it out... then head back to there cave after they have served there 5 or 10 mins...i do how ever like the heat of the moment scrap.
hockey is a fast, hard hitting and emotional game. to take fighting out of the game would be a mistake... they have already put in the stupidest penalty in the instigator rule. which in my opinion has caused more injuries because players take more liberties with out thought of any retaliation. if they took fighting out there would be a rise in stick related incidents mark my words ..
there speculation that Olympic hockey is good and entertaining with out fighting... but you have the top players in the world and they play how many games against each other? 1-2 there is no animosity no hatred. you play a team 7 games in the space of a week and a half. and see how many fights there are..
i don't know what do you guys think? i for one don't want to see it taken out..
article by brophy made me think about it.. not banning it but fighting in hockey
