Wow, I didn't realize they were so close. And they have years left in them. If they finish their careers here, their records could stand for a very long time.

It's eerie how close they are in points, but I guess stuff like this shouldn't surprise me anymore.

Now if they tie for the Art Ross this year, my mind might blow.

Waiting to watch for things like this isn't making my itch for hockey any more easy to bear. How exciting! Canucks first round draft picks, playing their careers here for a decade and vying to reach the pinnacle of our franchise's history.

Captain and Alternate. Leaders in the dressing room; soon to be leaders in our record books.

If anyone deserves to be at the top of the Canucks' all time points list it's them.

Will be nice for them to achieve the milestone

I would love for them to go 1-2 in league scoring this year. ( or better yet tied for first) maybe then, they will finally get the respect they deserve around the league.

All Daniel needs is to break his single-season record by 2 points...Hank just needs 91.

Henrik breaks it this season...not sure about Danny.

They'll lock it down by next year of course. Great job Sedins!

Danny could very easily get 106. They have been getting better and better every season, so I'm sure they won't be slowin down anytime soon. When they get on a hot streak their having 5-8 point nights back to back. ( combined points not each)

I seem to remember hearing Coach V say they scored higher in fitness testing this year than ever before. This alone suggests that improvement is a possibility.

I hope they're ruthless this year.

Before Daniel broke his ankle they were always within 2 points of each other.

"What players need is the right kind of strength and power. That includes learning to understand that leverage and positioning can be just as important as raw strength when it comes to winning battles in the game. It's more about timing and athleticism --and avoiding injury--than it is about how much you can bench press. I don't know how many times I've seen a guy with the physique of a defensive end line up a guy half his size, only to bounce off when he connects. Sure, there is room in the game for big guys who can throw their weight around. But for the most part, players are smart enough to see them coming--and strong enough to protect the puck when they arrive. There are trainers out there who know how to devlop hockey-specific strength--though a trainer can help only if a player follows the program. All too often, I've seen players sign up with the best trainer, but not show up for their workouts and never to reap the benefits."

AV should send those two to boxing lessons or to George St. Pierre for the summer.

I'd just love to see Daniel drop the gloves and just beat the living piss out of someone. :)

That's flabberghasting! The way these guys play of eachother in simply incredible.

As long as we were winning or losing by a significant amount, and therfore the 5 minutes that Daniel would spend in the box would be inconsequential, this would be glorious.

As long as they can stay healthy the entire season, the record will be theirs.

I really hope we have a healthy team going into the playoffs this season!

I had one of these going for Henrik's assist watch and wanted to do one for the points chase. I'll update this as often as I can through out the season. If they have another season like the last 2 this will be the year it happens, otherwise it'll be very early next season.

Markus Naslund - 756
Trevor Linden - 733
Stanley Smyl - 673
Henrik Sedin - 666
Daniel Sedin - 651

Daniel will reach 757 point in the last game of the season with 2 goals and an assist. Henrik will also reach the 757 mark by getting 1 g and 2 assists against the Oilers.
Would that really surprise you?

dont forget that Henrik and Daniel will be #1 and 2 on the all-time assists chart pretty soon, because 13 assist from Daniel will come very fast i think.

Wow they're really close. And the Sedins are only 30. They have a lot of good years left. I could definitely see then hitting the 1000 point mark at some point.

Here is how I have always imagined it going down. Marchand once again ties up Daniel beside the net and gives him a couple pokes with his glove. Marchand smirks his little weasel smirk until Daniel goes totally George McFly and drops him with a single shot.

The Sedins are not small guys, nor are they weak. Obviously they play a different style of hockey that generally does revolve around intimidation. But I really need to see them stand up for themselves as well as the team standing up for each other. I know this is AV's preaching to play between the whistles, but little good that did us in the finals, when the Bruins were allowed to do as they pleased.

As someone said, they have years in them. I'm expecting them to retire here to be honest with you. Who knows how long their records could stand.. Imagine if they retired at the same time with the same point numbers Posted Image

What was the deal this past year to do with Henrik having so many assists against so little goals or something or rather.. Anyone know what I'm trying to describe haha?

Does that mean that all of the previous players in Canucks history have done nothing for the franchise?

the only thing that matters is winning the stanley cup. yes that means all of the previous players in canucks history have done nothing that matters (on the ice).
I will concede that they have done things that matter in the community.
