A preacher introduces Rick Santorum at a campaign rally by calling on Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, and all who don't worship Geeeeeeezus to "GET OUT" of the United States. But, hey, it's okay. He's not one of those scary, hateful preachers who can give a candidate a preacher problem—this one's white. (Via

You think there's time to think about the constitution when you're busy hating gays, Muslims, women, liberals, and Iran? Come on! Don't worry, as soon as they get rid of all those undesirables, Jesus will fix the economy and give people jobs. These people make me sick.

Obama's Spending Record: More Conservative Than Reagan's

chart-spending-lower-under-obama-than-reagan.jpg(image source)

This is the kind of reality that makes Sean Hannity's head explodes. So far, the GOP candidates have been running against a fictional president with a fictional record. Obama didn't campaign to increase government spending, but inheriting what was in the final quarter of 2008 an annualized contraction of 9 percent of GDP, he opted for a stimulus. That accounts for much of the spending.

I know we are supposed - along with Fox News - to have total amnesia about the spending record of George W. Bush, who had nothing like the recession Obama inherited to counter. But there it is. Along with the fact that of the last seven presidents, the top three spenders are all Republicans.

One worry I have about a president Romney is exactly such a scenario. He has proposed to slash all taxes and increase defense spending by a stupendous amount. He has yet to identify the massive cuts in discretionary and entitlement spending he would need not to explode the debt as his GOP predecessors have done in the modern era.

But if you're going by the records, and want fiscal restraint, you'd be crazy at this point to back a Republican, without examining the fine print in extreme detail. Pity there isn't any for Romney yet. Which tells you something in itself.

Won't see our resident Teabagger post this. The fantasy that is the Republican reality, how sweet and numbing it must be.

Your repeated references to tea-bagging give me the impression you know more about it than you are letting on. I asked you before if this is why your back is injured and you failed to reply.... I am wondering since you said your injury was long term, if you plan to drag your wretched self out from in front of your computer ? See we both can cut and paste.. !!!

18 Economic Facts Foil Obama’s Fantasy

By Kevin A. Lehmann on in Entrepreneurship, Kevin's Commentary, Politics

Barack Obama in bold and brazen fashion is claiming the US economy has improved since his inauguration. I hate to foil his fantasy, but the president needs to stop day dreaming.

Despite what the lamestream media is telling us, the unemployment crisis is far worse now than it was when Obama took office.

Home values have plummeted, health insurance premiums have increased, gas has gone through the roof, the number of Americans living in poverty is exponentially increasing and the national debt has increased by a whopping four and half trillion dollars.

The following are 18 statistics that prove that the economy has not improved since Barack Obama became the president of the United States . . .

#1 Today there are 88 million working age Americans that are not employed and that are not looking for employment. That is an all-time record high.

#2 When Barack Obama was elected, the percentage of unemployed Americans that had been out of work for more than 52 weeks was less than 15%. Today, it is above 30%.

#3 There are 1.2 million fewer jobs in America today than there were when Barack Obama was inaugurated.

#4 When Barack Obama first took office, the number of “long-term unemployed workers” in the United States was approximately 2.6 million. Today, that number is sitting at 5.6 million.

#5 The average duration of unemployment in the United States is hovering close to an all-time record high.

#6 During the Obama administration, worker health insurance costs have risen by 23 percent.

#7 Since Barack Obama has been president, the average price of a gallon of gasoline in the United States has increased by 90 percent.

#8 Since Barack Obama has been president, home values in the United States have declined by another 13 percent.

#9 Under Barack Obama, new home sales in the U.S. set a brand new all-time record low in 2009, they set a brand new all-time record low again in 2010, and they set a brand new all-time record low once again during 2011.

#10 Since Barack Obama took office, the number of Americans living in poverty has risen by more than 6 million.

#11 Since Barack Obama entered the White House, the number of Americans on food stamps has increased from 32 million to 46 million.

#12 The amount of money that the federal government gives directly to Americans has increased by 32 percent since Barack Obama entered the White House.

#13 According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the percentage of Americans living in “extreme poverty” is now sitting at an all-time high.

#14 When Barack Obama first took office, an ounce of gold was going for about $850. Today an ounce of gold costs more than $1700 an ounce.

#15 Since Barack Obama became president, the size of the U.S. national debt has increased by 44 percent.

#16 During Barack Obama’s first two years in office, the U.S. government added more to the U.S. national debt than the first 100 U.S. Congresses combined.

#17 During the Obama administration, the U.S. government has accumulated more debt than it did from the time that George Washington took office to the time that Bill Clinton took office.

#18 The U.S. national debt has been increasing by an average of more than 4 billion dollars per day since the beginning of the Obama administration.

When evaluating the health of the American economy, short-term economic numbers don’t tell the whole story. Sometimes they go up and sometimes they do down.

Instead, the key is to look at the long-term balance sheet numbers. When you do that, it quickly becomes apparent how appalling our economic decline has been.

The size of federal government debt is exploding, state and local governments all over the country are drowning in debt, our collective national wealth is decreasing and our ability to produce new wealth is also being reduced as our economic infrastructure is systematically gutted.

Obama is not the only one to blame. The truth is that the Federal Reserve has much more power over the economy than Obama does. But the American people are constantly told that the Federal Reserve is “not political” and that we should not “criticize” the Fed.

Bush, Clinton, Bush and Obama have all greatly contributed to the mess that we are in, but they are not solely responsible for it.

Nevertheless, the outcome of the presidential election in November will be heavily influenced by how the U.S. economy performs during the rest of 2012.

Until next time . . . Wake Up America!

And Paul is fourth, why?

3 of 4 GOP candidates would add to deficits

gop-debate.gi.top.jpg

Ron Paul's economic proposals would stem deficits while those of Rick Santorum, Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich would add to the national debt, according to a new analysis.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Newt Gingrich's economic plan would do a lot of things. But reducing the debt and balancing the federal budget aren't among them.

Same goes for Rick Santorum's and Mitt Romney's economic plans.

Indeed, a preliminary analysis by the independent Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget released Thursday estimates that the three candidates' plans could add between $250 billion and $7 trillion of debt over the next nine years.

By contrast, the proposals of Ron Paul could reduce the debt by $2.2 trillion, the group estimated.

Romney vs. Gingrich on the economy

The estimated changes in debt were made relative to what the CRFB calls a realistic baseline, in which the Bush-era tax cuts are made permanent, scheduled payment cuts to Medicare doctors are prevented and $1.2 trillion in automatic spending cuts are waived.

Under that scenario, debt held by the public will rise to 85% of GDP by 2021, up from about 70% today. Both are well above the country's historical average of 40%.

Newt Gingrich's plan

Debt over next decade: Adds $7 trillion, increasing debt to GDP to 114%.

Costliest proposal: Create an alternative flat tax of 15%, which would increase debt by $3.4 trillion.

Biggest cost saver: Turn means-tested federal programs such as Medicaid into block grants to states and cut federal funding for these programs in half, saving $2.4 trillion.

Interest costs on the debt: Raises it by $900 billion.

The Gingrich campaign, in a statement, essentially dismissed the CRFB analysis "because they show no comprehension of how to score the impact of economic growth in helping to balance the budget."

The campaign maintains that his plan would create 6.6 million jobs in the first two years and balance the budget in his first term.

Rick Santorum's plan

Debt over next decade: Adds $4.5 trillion, increasing debt to GDP to 104%.

Costliest proposal: Reduce and reform individual income taxes, at a cost of $3.6 trillion.

Biggest cost saver: Transform various social programs into block grants to states and capping their growth, saving $950 billion.

Interest costs on the debt: Raises it by $640 billion.

Mitt Romney's plan

Debt over next decade: Adds $250 billion, increasing debt to GDP to 86%.

Costliest proposal: Reduce corporate taxes, which would increase debt by $1 trillion.

Biggest cost saver: Reduce federal workforce costs, saving $530 billion.

Interest costs on the debt: Raises it by $40 billion.

The CRFB said it will update its analysis to include the revised tax plan that Romney released on Wednesday. He said he wanted to cut marginal tax rates for individuals by 20%, among other things.

While Romney said his tax plan would not add to the deficit, he didn't offer specifics as to how he'd pay for his newly proposed tax cuts. Absent those offsets, the CRFB roughly estimates that his plan could add $2.6 trillion in debt, boosting debt to 96% of GDP by 2021.

Ron Paul's plan

Debt over next decade: Reduces it by $2.2 trillion, lowering debt to GDP to 76%.

Costliest proposal: Get rid of various income taxes, such as the Alternative Minimum Tax and taxes on investment income, Social Security benefits and tips, at a cost of $2.5 trillion.

Biggest cost saver: Reduce many parts of non-defense spending, such as eliminating five federal departments including education, commerce and energy, saving $4.5 trillion.

Interest costs on the debt: Lowers it by $300 billion.

He uses them for sarcasm a lot of the time though.

But I do admit that he sometimes tries to draw too many parallels between them and some current events. Then again, he's an adamant defender of Israel and he just views any attacks on the Jews may eventually snowball back like the 1930's.

Camp Tea Party

Think summer camp and most people tend to envision mobs of kids swimming in lakes, rowing canoes, or weaving friendship bracelets and singing campfire songs. But conservative activists in Florida have come up with a novel idea for a summer camp this year: Camp Tea Party. In what sounds eerily like indoctrination camp, a few Tampa kids will be spending part of their summer learning about the evils of European socialism and the Christian roots of the Constitution at the "Tampa Liberty School," a summer camp created by conservative activists from a Tampa 9/12 group. Their camp cheers will include such mottoes as "government can't force me to be charitable" and "I believe in God." The St. Petersburg Times reports on some of the activities campers can look forward to:

Children will win hard, wrapped candies to use as currency for a store, symbolizing the gold standard. On the second day, the "banker" will issue paper money instead. Over time, students will realize their paper money buys less and less, while the candies retain their value...

Another example: Starting in an austere room where they are made to sit quietly, symbolizing Europe, the children will pass through an obstacle course to arrive at a brightly decorated party room (the New World).

Red-white-and-blue confetti will be thrown. But afterward the kids will have to clean up the confetti, learning that with freedom comes responsibility.

Still another example: Children will blow bubbles from a single container of soapy solution, and then pop each other's bubbles with squirt guns in an arrangement that mimics socialism. They are to count how many bubbles they pop. Then they will work with individual bottles of solution and pop their own bubbles.

The camp is a hybrid of vacation Bible school and Glenn Beck. The organizers modeled the camp after one started in Kentucky last year that seems to have taken much of its curriculum straight from Beck's favorite writer, the late W. Cleon Skousen, author of some dubious and occasionally racist histories of the nation and the bestselling 5,000 Year Leap. In the Kentucky camp, kids learned, among other things, that the early American settlers starved to death because they were communists, a piece of Skousen dogma.

The camps are the brainchild of members of groups that sprung up a few years ago at the urging of Beck, who launched what he called the 9/12 project, symbolizing the day after the 9/11 attacks when the country put partisan differences aside and came together. Beck came up with nine principles and 12 values as the basis for the organization. The 9/12 groups have been associated with the tea party movement, but they also tend to have more religious undertones than their tea party compatriots. Many of their members are Mormons, like Beck and Skousen. Still, they are supportive of the tea party's new focus on the next generation.

The Florida activists are not alone in trying to foist their agenda on America's youth. Organizers of the Tea Party Patriots organization have recently urged activists to lobby public schools to teach the Constitution using materials created by a group Skousen founded. The Tampa Liberty School founders say they hope to expand their summer camp offering into local public schools as well, according to the St. Petersburg Times. "We've had classes for adults," Karen Jaroch, who chairs the Tampa 912 Project, told the paper. "Now we want to introduce a younger generation to economics and history, but in a fun way." http://motherjones.c.../camp-tea-party

Sorry buddy, you were saying?

A few of those videos are from anti-right groups. The Young Turks? They even think Peter Schiff is a quack.... just because he's some guy that predicted the US economy going into the dumps a few years before it happened.

The first video, Beck is just warning people about being extra careful when listening to rhetoric. Just the simple, "The road to hell is paved with good intentions".

The whole Hitler part, I don't see how there's any correlation, either than they're both just happens to be on the right side of the political spectrum. He did mention how he's labeled as racist, yet his best friends are Jewish and of colour, lol.

If you actually know his program, he does talk about God(s) and religion a lot (means nothing to me, since I'm non-religious), but you have to understand the concept of "God" within the context of the US constitution. "God-given right" means it's inalienable, thus it cannot be taken away. Moving away any notion of a supreme being means that rights are given by man/government.... thus can be changed at any point.

The article piece you posted.... it's a 9/12 group... not GLEN BECK's 9/12 group. The only "issue" I can see with that camp is that it's religious. Either than that, (from what I can take from the article), it promotes monetary responsibility and how not to act like an European socialist.... judging from what's going on over there, it should be be a good thing, lol.

I know you're not a fan of Glenn Beck, religion, or whatever.... but as with any opposing view points... cut through the drama/comedy and other fluff and just focus on the core message.
