Hopefully NHL 13, 14, 15, etc. contain most of the below. NHL 12 has gotten a lot of improvements but there is always room for more... I know that only some of these come true but what are your wishes for the future (not just 13 but 14, 15 since EA is far too slow at adding things on). * It's not hard for these guys to add this stuff in but over time most of these should be implemented In no particular order ........... feel free to add on your own, improve mine, critic, etc. - real coaches w/ faces (AV, Ruff should look like AV, Ruff) - the ability to hit goalies from a distance same with the net (you can't unless you are close) - real goal horns and songs (the horn is right but the song after is still .....) - better EA Trax, add more songs (within 30 minutes you end up listening to the same crap) - build your own rink (they already have build your own player, team) - ability to trade cards with friends (there might be some problems though with people w/ multiple accounts) - all jerseys/logos for gameplay and create a team - if possible Be A Pro for European Leagues - bring back the KHL (I think there is a issue that took it out) - 4 officials on the ice like in real life - when a penalty occurs the ref should escort the player the the box and make the call into the mic - ability to request a trade in Be A Pro (you should be able to be traded in the CHL too) - you should be traded without notice , not just by request (Be A Pro) - contract extensions during the season in Be A GM Mode - players should be able to demand a trade in Be A GM Mode - objectives (mainly W's) in Be A GM Mode should be realistic ,(50 wins on a weak team doesn't make sense) - press conferences/media (I believe NBA 2K12 has this now) - playoff breads, and other things for the former rival 2K series - line-up saves like in Fifa - more in depth trade deadline/draft day/July 1st - training camp should be added and pre-season should be more detailed - PTO's should be added in as well as contract bonuses - more faces for women (I know it's the first year) - more roster updates (they should be committed throughout the year not just before release) - clean up the writing (sometimes unclear in glare from sunlight) (make the free agency thing bigger , cut the background) - add options to practice mode (3 shots and a whistle isn't going to cut it) - bring back the mode from NHL '05/'06 (can't remember the name , free for all?) add an online option to it , maybe keep it real? - the ability to create your own logo/jersey - add way more options for player equipment and make it more detailed - add a player search engine (so hard to find players , add more options for searching) - show more stats when a player retires (make it detailed , also why on stats for 4 yr's for most players?) - lower down the player ratings, too many players in the high 70's and mid 80's - make player ratings start at 40 to help with ^ - add in more commentators if possible the real one's (pitches , what they usually say) - if not add in a few more EA commentators and let the home team pick for online - allow teams to make changes (online) at their own risk - make a timeout seem like a timeout - fix the fight engine , make it so you can skate around , change hands , etc. (each fight should be diff.) - take the 5 fight limit out (makes the game not as fun w/ it in) - allow bench brawls - allow center men to fight off the face off , d-men should be able to fight too - add in a 3rd PK/PP unit so it keeps thing mixed up (sometimes the same players are on for the period) - much better Stanley Cup celebrations (interactive , get rid of the stupid on ice video presentation) - the ability to retire jersey's and have jersey retirement nights (Be a GM/Pro) - you should be able to decide when you want to retire (Be A Pro) - add in real player life (won't happen till '25 , video games might not be around though) - real rinks and entrances - Stanley cup Patches on jerseys - show all the award winners , make it seem worth winning - add in diff. game clocks, allow us to choose - add in more legends (a lot more since they added Roenick) , get rid of the current players from the teams - bring back Alumni teams (add more , the Canadiens had one in '10?) - make HUT card search easier to navigate - fix the leaderboards so searching for certain users is easier - improve the AI even more (add in more levels not just the 4) - add in advertising in proper places (the rink) not on the Be A Pro loading screen (Verizon Wireless) - add in more penalties (diving, spearing) and suspensions (Be a Pro/GM) - give more attributes to players to make them unique from others - add in a lot more play by play names (it's not hard) - add in a feature that gives players certain nicknames that they are sometimes called (Ovie, 99) - the cap should go up realistically in Be A GM (not by 500k or 1m) - make line-ups real (George Parros should not be on my 2nd line) - a feature so the CPU can alternate goalies (Be A GM) Luongo should not play 82 games , manual gets annoying - realistic contract wants (haven't went past 6 years in GM Mode yet , so I'm not sure if it's fixed) - the ability to deny signing a contract in Be A Pro (I don't want to sign with the Senators) - in Be a GM Mode , player team interests should be in depth (contract signing should be harder) - multiplayer offline modes (might attract more people to play the game features other than OTP/Play Now) - ability to sim in at one point in the game then leave then join in again later on Updated with user request for a lack of a better word (I forgot to add some of them to my list ^) -an award race tracker (Be A Pro/GM) - online Be A GM Mode (might have it ^ but w.e) - taking out the ready screen in club games - brand new servers (same ones since '08 , maybe a EA server that works) - online club observer mode (club players can watch there own team play, easier to evaluate players) (sort of like COD: Black Ops Theater Mode) - bring back the hip-check from NHL 11 (why fix something that ain't broke?) - line controls for classic controls - (Be A GM) Get to run a national team at the World Championships if your team misses the playoffs (including draft of players from other non-playoff teams) - NHL record book and team records so you can beat them (Be A Pro/GM) - expansion Mode (You would create a team (jerseys, city, rink name, logo, etc) without players in it, then every NHL team would protect the players they wanted to, and you and another randomly created team would draft from the unprotected pool. (Expectations wouldn't be high in the first season, and it'd be the perfect mode for people that like rebuilding teams) - custom lineups in BAGM. I'm tired of hitting best lines and then having to rearrange players to the lines and special teams units I want them on. Maybe you could hit the button Best Lines is set to now, and it would come up with 3 options: Best Lines, Use Saved Lines, and Save As New Lineup. Would save me a LOT of time. - if possible a Brendan Shanahan video for suspensions and close calls - make the game for PC (expanding the community = more $ for EA) - face recognition, like FIFA 11 has, EASPORTSWORLD.com uses two pictures of you and renders it in 3-D then FIFA takes that rendering and puts it on ur create a character, brilliant. (basically Kinect integration, should be already in) - more player types, besides grinder, twf, sniper, playmaker, power forward and tough guy. What about the defensive specialist or power play specialist/quarterback? - the ability to assign player attributes to your be a pro and your attributes effect how your team players around you. for example your main attribute is to park urself in front of the net and tip shots, your team reacts to this and when your in position they throw it on net for u to tip. and your attribute + your hand eye co-ordination stat effect how well you tip it etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Online be a GM Fix the servers (Since 08) Make it so that people choose their positions before going into an OTP game so everyone gets the position they want. Take out the ready screen in club games, what's it there for? If they were searching, I'm assuming everyone's ready. It's just more reason to dodge. I would add: - Abilty to control line changes when using Classic control setting. - (Be A GM) Get to run a national team at the World Championships if your team misses the playoffs (including draft of players from other non-playoff teams) - NHL record book / team records and ability to break those records And maybe this is already in the game but I can't find it yet... settings for people with older TVs. The writing is so small on the screen I can barely read it. Luckily it doesn't affect the game play at all. A little annoying while I am tending to my GM duties though.
