So Im in the Best Buy Club a couple nights ago and order a Molsen. The waitress says, we are a Labatts House now, I say great, I'll have a Labatts and she says here is our beer list. Budweiser and Stella, so where is the Labatts? Headed downstairs and Bud everywhere, no good beer to be found. I am guessing this is a NHL thing system wide, but lame is the only word I can use to describe this. They are going to be about $2k lighter at the end of the year due to just me. Hopefully they come around.

What's wrong with stella ? I think Stella and saporo are probably the two best beers out there. If you only prefer Canadian beers then it's Kokanee and Alexander keiths dark ale. But totally agree about the bud, str8 hot garbage.

It's the other way around. Or I should say the parent company of Budweiser owns Labatts.

You have no taste or are extremely inexperienced in Canadian beer if you think that mass produced swill is the best available.

On the topic of beer, what they have done to PBR is a downright crime.

How about going to watch the hockey game instead of crying in your beer.

If it's cold, I'm all good. Nothing like a game and a cold beer.
What is it about putting other people down for their tastes? If someone likes Canadian, so what? Kokanee? Who cares? You don't have to "be experienced" to know what you like. I have probably had 75+ beers in my lifetime and my favorites are ice, cold Bud light Lime and Ice cold Corona with a lime twist. Just beacause I don't drink Granville Island Extra Frothy Bird Sh!t Stoudt doesn't mean that I am an inexperienced drinker, it means I know what I enjoy.

If you want to drink your favorite beer stay home and do it. Who goes to a game just to drink beer? I'll take your tickets and an ice cold Bud any day!

You were willing to order a Molson, but are complaining about Budweiser?

Shiznak at his best:

Considering their cap hit and age, I'd still take Bonino over Kesler.

Bud is just awful. Out of all the mass beers, it's the worst. Except maybe limeless Corona.

'Beers beer'??? Hell no it ain't.

The day you switch away from that mass-produced, generic lager crap is the day you officially awaken as a beer drinker.

Kinda neither.... both are now owned by AB-Inbev. The largest adult beverage conglomerate on the planet... yay...

I am really disappointed at the lack of selection given to us at Rogers Arena or any other licensed venue in this province. Story of my life. If I go to Safeco or Centurylink field, I can find beers there that showcase the best breweries in the area. Now I understand that American Macro-lagers still make up the largest share of the beer market and not everyone is going to be stoked on some "limited release Cascadian Dark Ale" or something like that. But, it would be nice to try and cater a little to a rapidly growing demographic while exposing the general public to some of great beers being brewed right in our own back yard.

But I understand that contracts are contracts.... maybe they can bring in some Goose Island? I can dream I guess....

And by "americanize" you mean take one american company sponsorship out and replace it with another? Must be another Bettman conspiracy

Lol

This is one of the funniest posts I've read in ages.

You tried to order Canadian and Labbatts then when you were offered Bud complain that there's no "good" beer.

It is not my intent to get in circular arguments with anybody. The reason i have avoided saying anything specific is because i know you or someone else will attempt to find an alternate explanation to my points which i intern will have to defend. I see no point in getting involved with the circular argument that is already well under way in this thread. I simply intended to voice my opinion on the subject. In the end either you accept the possibility of corruption and conspiracy or you don't.

Also i find your comments to be very childish. Does taking what i say out of context, paraphrasing and misquoting it make you feel good about yourself? Grow up.

I'll let the Brits answer regarding the "wife beater".

Stella is not a "good" beer in most of the world.
