Chuck Norris Marco Sturm will answer this question himself when he knocks on your door at midnight tonight.

With nunchucks a simple, reproaching shake of the head, for Marco Sturm is a forgiving God. You lucky mortal, you.

I bet you're one of those 13 year old bandwagoners... Sturm has been consistent and one of the best Canucks in each of the 3 games.

I'm not 13. He's been good but not worth this much excitement.

I don't think some of you bandwagon CDC posters actually see what we have in Marco Sturm. He's shown great wheels, is solid in all 3 zones and is a threat when he's around the net. His passes in the offensive zone always goes to the right players at the right times. Most of all, the confidence that he gives Hodgson more than makes up for what he lacks (a little bit of size). This was exactly what we needed in our top-6 last year and GMMG addressed the need. With Kesler coming back, a line of Sturm-Kesler-Hodgson will have the opposing team skating circles in their defensive zone. If AV feels that the Sedins need a greater influence than Burrows, Sturm can easily slot into that line.

Such a versatile player is hard to find, and GMMG was able to get one at such a reasonable price. Don't miss out on what we have this year, Canucks fans. Sturm is most likely the missing piece for our stretch drive down the season.

He's been the top-6 winger that we have been looking for, for Kesler. With 29 assists with the Boston Bruins a few years ago, we know he's able to dish out the puck. With 2 consecutive 27 goal seasons with the Bruins and a 28 goal season with the Sharks, we know he's able to put the puck into the net. By putting him on a line with and all-star shooting center like Kesler and an elite playmaking center like Henrik Sedin, I wouldn't be surprised if he somehow eclipses his numbers and produces a 50-50-100 season this year.

It took Marco Sturm 5 seasons to finally crack the 20 goal mark in his career that's brutal, it only took Grabner 1 full year to score 30+.

Also Marco Sturms first season in the NHL played 74 games and scored 10 goals.
Grabner in 20 games with Vancouver scored 5 goals, big difference, Grabner played 76 games with Islanders and scored 34 goals.

Sturm definitely looks like the real deal. Sure the injury bug has hurted his last few seasons, but he is coming back with a force. Lets hope when Kesler comes back, we will have that secondary scoring that we are missing.

One more piece to our puzzle, the next is probably solidifying our 4th line. IMO, Volpatti isn't the answer. Expect a Trade Deadline deal for a solid 3rd liner from another team to fill in a 4th line role.

I have to disagree. I think the bright spots in Cody's game have been the times when he controls the puck in the offensive zone with poise vision and hockey sense beyond his years. And thanks to his health, we are finally getting to see it for ourselves rather than debate in these forums whether it exists or not. Oh ya, and I feel we can thank Cody for that, not Marco Sturm.

I agree, I was confused at the signing but Sturm has been fantastic. He brings out the best in Cody, maybe he could do what Sundin did for Kesler, in maturing him. I can see Sturm scoring 40 goals along side Kesler, maybe even 50 with the Sedins.

He's also a veteran, I believe he will step it up in the playoffs. We need a game-breaker, and that is him. Re-signing him this off-season is a must. And that is why MG is GM, he finds bargains.

Grabner also plays for a bottom-feeding team in the eastern conference, one known for it's wide-open play and inflated goal-scoring.

Sturm played in the Western conference for a lot of his career and is a good influence on the team. Grabner displays no leadership qualities like Sturm does.

Sturm influenced Hodgson into playing like a beast (much like he does). Does Grabner have that same affect on his linemates? I don't think so.
