^ according to AV he's day to day with an Upper Body Injury

not sure whether he'll be the backup tomorrow of if we'll have to call someone up. haha maybe if we have to call up a goalie from the Wolves he can just hitch a ride with the Hawks :)

^^ and he also mentioned Bitz and Ebbett are out indefinitely. First I've heard anything on Bitz in awhile.

Found this particularly interesting though:

Vigneault says he won't reveal Luongo's injury because of what Lucic did to Miller fearing his goalie would be vulnerable to beinig targeted

Kesler day to day with stiffness, Ballard with back spasms and is out. Raymond cleared for contact.

Although, Kesler should be good for Sunday. It's a good thing we get a 4 day break to let our guys heal up.

#canucks Alex Edler has a stiff back and is a game time decision. If he can't go, Alex Sulzer will play. Matt Clime will back up Schneider.

Ballard is back in the line up and Luongo is most likely going to play on Wednesday @ Colorado. (see news section) Raymond could be back as soon as this road trip sometime, or by early December.

Edit: Looks like Lu won't play against Colorado, but he will be back in the line up to back up cory.

Nope. It's like he has vanished or something... no one is really talking about him. Only thing recent is that he is still out indefinitely.

A couple of tweets that should clear things up:

AV: Bieksa sore hip flexor, Rome sore hand that prevents gripping stick. Re-evaluated FRI and questionable for game in PHX.

#canucks Kevin Bieksa says "we'll see how it (hip) feels tomorrow". Put him down as questionable versus #Coyotes as well.

EDIT: should have included the link. It's on Muprh's Twitter page since he RT'd Ian Mac's original Tweet.

Sorry folks, had three overnight shifts in a row, had to sleep during the day so I have had no time to update the main post.

EDIT: And now I wake up and I have some sort of flu... Once I get back from the doctors this afternoon I'll update, promise! Sorry for the delay.

Check back later today for a full update.

And thank you Elvis for your updates, you have been very helpful!

yes and that was suppose to be today.

Players Nikolaj Ehlers have been compared too by the fan base of the Vancouver Canucks.

1 Pavel Bure

2 Markus Naslund

3 Nathan Mackkinon

4 Jonathan Drouin.

5 Jonathan Tavares

While they didn't have any further news on Edler, this is the first I've heard of Raymond saying he was ready to play:

Apart from Luongo, winger Mason Raymond couldn't get back in the lineup, either. He has overcome a career-threatening back injury and his 40 goals the last two seasons put him behind only Henrik and Daniel Sedin, Ryan Kesler and Alex Burrows.

Two weeks ago, there were a half-dozen candidates to come out of the Canucks lineup. Saturday, Vigneault couldn't find any, so Raymond sat after finally telling staff he was ready to go.

EDIT: no word on any results or what was injured, but Edler was at practice today.

Alex Burrows is not practicing with Canucks Monday but Alex Edler is.

Burrows was in the arena but didn't skate. Raymond skated with the Sedins in his absence.

A couple more for the cryptic file:

Burrows has a hand injury. Open wound from the slash. Listed as probable for tomorrow. Raymond will take his spot if he can't play

#canucks Alex Burrows (hand) questionable versus CBJ. If he can't go, Mason Raymond will play first game since June 13th.

Lots of info but no real answers. Unsure about Burrows being probable or questionable, and will Raymond get in somewhere?

Elder last to talk with media. "Upper body injury". #Canucks

This one's not any better. Is Edler in or out, injured or not?

Thorton slashed Burr's middle finger last game and it was bleeding bad..... definitely broken nail but hope not broken finger!

It would be a good game for MayRay to return against the CBJ as they are not as physical as other teams.

Actually looking forward to trw night's game!

Ok, it looks like Edler is in.

Edler confirms he's 'good to play' following practice. Watch the video. bit.ly/sJfkMA

Now we wait and see with Burrows tomorrow I guess.

EDIT: AV's video on Canucks TV puts Burrows as "more probable than doubtful, knowing Burrows." It looks like it's just a tough spot for stitches so they'll wait and see tomorrow.

A couple of tweets, looks like MayRay still sits and Burrows is good to go, as is Edler.

AV: Burrows took 4 stitches in finger, but is good to go.

AV: No changes to the lineup tonight.

More at the White Towel blog:

With things going well and Alex Burrows feeling he can play, Alain Vigneault isn’t making any lineup changes tonight.

That means Mason Raymond will remain a scratch until someone either gets hurt and can’t play or someone plays his way out of the starting lineup.

Burrows, who required four stitches on a finger after Joe Thornton slashed him on Saturday, skipped Monday’s practice but took part in this morning’s optional skate.

“It feels alright,” Burrows said. “Yesterday was a good day to stay away, today it felt fine out there and I look forward to tonight’s game.”

Still, Burrows said he wasn’t sure how the finger would react in the heavy going – stick battles and such. But he’s relieved the slash just opened a wound and didn’t break anything, as he’d feared when Thornton slashed him.

“We’ll see how it is,” Burrows said. “It’s a matter of pain control.”

Raymond has been ready to return to action for two games now, since breaking a vertebrae in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup final.

“No one deserves to come out right now,” Vigneault said.

That means besides Raymond, Aaron Rome will also sit out.
