Pekka Rinne is washed up. He just isn't the same goalie anymore. This goes back to last season's exit from the playoffs. One man basically owned him (Ryan Kesler). He is supposed to be an elite goalie but he couldn't even beat lousy Luongo in a 7 game series. He could not even help his team past the Canucks when the Preds had the Sedins completely shut down. He's a flopper. He has poor positioning. He is slow. His glove hand is weak, his blocker is weaker, and everyone can see into next Tuesday through his 5-hole.

Now this? .750 on 16 shots? Clearly he is terrible. Lindback is ready. We need to trade Pekka Rinne for a 2nd rate player while he has any value.

Pekka Rinne is garbage and the Predators should give up on him. They will never win a cup with him. He is not a playoff performer. He is mentally weak. He crumbles under pressure.

Next time I go to a game that Pekka Rinne gets scored on (even if they are good goals) I will boo him mercilessly. He deserves it and it will make his job harder. Which is what I want to do. I HATE him and I want him to do poorly so that I will feel better about myself and my accurate judgements of his poor play.

Sadly this will be lost on those who don't understand when they do this seriously about Luongo it's just as funny; they just don't mean for it to be.

Wow.. you clearly didn't watch Round 2.

He was basically the reason the Preds were still in it, without him we would've maybe swept them. And it's funny to see when people aren't complaining about Luongo, they can complain about how a goalie of an opposing team needs to go.. Vancouver is a goalie graveyard.

EDIT: hahahahahahahahah, my sarcasm detector is low.

I guess they've turned in to Cody haters. What the heck did he do tonight? NOTHING!

Anyway...half inebriated comments aside, I appreciate this thread. It resonated with me. There.

Umm
He is a very good goaltender
Ryan Kesler was basically the only one that could score on him during the playoffs.
He had a bad game but what alot of people here don't realize is that it happens to everyone.
The preds need a lot more than Rinne to play well to win a cup.
Lindback is really good too though good for Nashville

/sarcasm understood

Replace Rinne with Lu and Lindberg with Schneids and then you'll get the joke...

I think Luongo will be traded to Ottawa for 5th round pick + cash considerations, before the trade dealine.

Can't be surprised. Skill wise Luongo is debatably the least talented goalie in the NHL. He should be playing in a lower division somewhere in Europe (div. II or III).

It's a shame that the Twins will never have an elite winger to play with because we've spent that money on a no-win goalie.

luongo will have played his way back to florida by the time the christmas break rolls around.

This is why we can't have nice things...

LOL , take notes from the former trolls if you want to do a troll styled post (John Shorthouse , Clutch , Doughty/WadeReddenReborn , funny and original).

EDIT: Disregard the troll comment , this turned out to be a sarcastic thread, usually things are trollish on here.

Can you imagine if we had Sidney Crosby on our team? I can just see it. CDCers saying "Crosby got to go. He's faking a concussion." and his nickname will be Sidney Crybaby. Whether you like it or not, Luongo got us to game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals. He's a Vezina finalist and in the history books, he has the 2nd most wins by a goaltender in a season. There's been hundreds of goaltenders since the NHL started and no one comes even close to those numbers.
