His linemate is the NHL Player of the Month, and he has barely any fluke assists to show for it. He's been stuck on his 12 / 13 goals forever... all those puck bunnies saying he was destined to get over 20 goals this season - not at this ugly pace. Took a brutal penalty tonight when the Canucks were down a goal, shoving his stick into a Red Wing's skates on an icing play, a dangerous and stupid play. Also to make things interesting post up the Canucks position in the Division, Conference and League so that we can all see how much this team of wasters is letting us down. Hansen's role on the team is not to score goals, it's a secondary goal for him. He's a fantastic penatly killer and forechecks like his pants are on fire. We have some of our REAL fourth line, the guys who can punish players, finally healthy and playing. We have our actual talent who can score and make plays healthy, leaving Hansen on the fringe... he doesn't fight, he doesn't hit hard, he doesn't score very well, but boy, he can sure kill those penalties (rolling eyes)... More than anything, Jannick is out there to tire and frustrate the opposition. He does his job to my satisfaction, anyways. I guess you have higher standards.
