Minor League Transactions Pending RFA D Drew Schiestel has re-signed a 2-year, 1.7M contract extension with the Buffalo Sabres (0.85M per year). He will be assigned to the Rochester Americans. Sidney Crosby. Posted January 18, 2012 Share Posted January 18, 2012 The Edmonton Oilers are very happy to welcome Ville, Luke, and Brayden to the team. Ville Leino is a vetern that the kids can rely on and help in the race for the playoffs. Despite underproducing at 4.5 million a year, we think he can turn things around play with some high end skilled players. Adam and McNabb will be assigned to the Barons for the battle for the Calder Cup. Both kids can easily be seen wearing Oiler jersey's next season. Tough letting Nikitin go after such a solid season so far with the big club. After aquiring Sutherby Eager's days seemed numbered and will hopefully help the Sabres on their cup run. Never easy giving up a prospect like Pitlick but with forward depth, he wasn't likely to play the big minutes with the Oilers in the future.
