Ilya Mikheyev Posted November 20, 2011 Share Posted November 20, 2011 Despite the goals not going in for him, and his puck handling and pass receiving being a little shaky, I'm pretty happy with Booth. No one in their right mind would touch Booth................oh wait :-( I have nothing against Booth other than the fact he is here. This team deserved someone a whole lot better, someone to light us up, someone in form. Instead we get a guy playing miserably few minutes in Florida's 3/4 line at a salary of $4.5M we will have to eat for 3 years. They've made some moves this summer that might have made him (and his salary on a cap floor team) more expendable. This year, the asking price was much more manageable, and you can bet much more so when compared to any of the better talent out there. It certainly didn't hurt that in taking a chance on Booth, we got rid of some pending UFAs that weren't doing a lot for us. You want someone in form, a whole lot better, to light us up?
