First period was just sloppy. The flames didn't play all that well, we just made them look good. Lots of pucks hopping over sticks at the blue line.
Luongo played exactly how I feel he's capable of playing. He made several huge saves early on while we were struggling with the basics, plus allowed a goal from a puck shot behind the net. The latter almost seems to be a given over the past year but it's good to see that he didn't get frustrated by it tonight. He should be proud of his performance on the 2 - 0 and 3 - 1 rushes the flames had, plus a few hard shots from Iginla.
It was a team victory; a point made evident by the 4th line playing on the power play late in the 3rd.
That play in particular was awkward, but was one he should have had. With Tanguay having come from the high left side (where Lu had to prepare for the shot) and then get it from the deep right side so he was in the butterfly rather than being able to put a pad straight up on the post easily. Proper D would have made his place in net easier, if not stopped the chance altogether, but he needed to adjust better on that one when it didn't happen.
Otherwise he was solid, and we'll have to see how this goalie tandem plays out and what Gillis has for options during the season.

Here's my bold prediction: By season's end, Raymond (a third liner in TO) has more points than anyone on the Canucks not named Sedin.
