Panjodh
Messiers a retard. He doesn't deserve to be a Canadian! He was lucky enough to play in a great franchise and he blew it!
StenMan.EXE
Buzz off Messier, just seriously buzz off... no further comment to avoid going on furious rant.
Tony Romo
He could REALLY use the money.
wallstreetamigo
Tell him we'll pay him his money when he gives back the respect he stole from Trevor Linden in Vancouver.
Ghostsof1915
I think Messier owes the fans money for buying jerseys and helping destroy our club instead of helping it.
pepito
What's really nauseating is that 1040 will try to interview Messier on the grounds that it's a "story" and then they'll talk endlessly about Messier in Vancouver. Is there any more putrid form of sports radio banter than messier-talk? It's almost worse than listening to Messier himself, that SOB.
BM24
Messier has been after this money for years on end, it's just come to the public today, I guess. Also, Messier may have a case, seeing as Messier helped grow the value of parts of the team, and it may have been in his contract as he could receive compensation for it. He's still not worthy of having a trophy named after him, he's a fraud.
Ray_Cathode
Darren Dreger Mark Messier believes he's still owed money from his days with the Canucks. Expected grievance will be handled by an arbitrator in spring. When I was a kid he was my idol. Now I hate him He asking for more money from the canucks

TheRick
If I'm not mistaken, didn't the Canucks lose around $40 million during the 3 years that Messier was with the team? And don't get me started with Messier using Number 11!
DeNiro
He owes every Canucks fan money for paying to see his sorry a$$ play...
BedBeats™2.0
I recently read Mike Keenan's biography and quotes taken from a Canuck from those years support this.. Don't remember the exact quote but something like Messier would spend hours in the office discussing the business aspects of the game.
Tru_Knyte
He should owe us money for every goal he didn't score, every assist he didn't make, and every playoff game he never led us to.

Provost
Sad thing is... he is probably out of money now.... well sad for him, I would be more than happy to see him begging on the street corner for change. For those wondering why we hate him so much... accepting the "C" when it was ripped from Linden and being in cahoots with Keenan to get rid of him to takeover the dressing room. You move onto a team with a longtime team captain already in place who is beloved by the fans and entire city... if you have a classy bone in your body you happily take an "A" I remember actually pulling over my car stunned and crying when I heard that Linden was gone. Also, demanding Wayne Maki's semi-retired number 11 was low-class and selfish. No one had taken that number out of respect for the guy dying. Mr.DirtyDangles
We got Messier and lost everyone else. The whole team was destroyed by him and Keenan.

wolftrap
I really don't want to be reminded of this low point in Canucks history...but it sure does make me appreciate the time before and after it that's for sure.
