krease Posted February 5, 2012 Share Posted February 5, 2012 Maybe it's just me, but I think there's something wrong with the red/green color coding (labelled attainable/unattainable) on the front page. Most of the teams have a points potential of over 100, which could certainly be enough to make winning their conference "attainable". Also, as it stands, it seems the chart is saying "winning the President's trophy is unattainable for any Western Conference team", since the entire column is red. Western Conference Magic Number Chart results as of Tuesday, February 7th, 2012 have been updated! CHI, MIN and DAL dropped 2 Magic points! NSH dropped 1.5 Magic Points! All other Western Teams dropped 1 Magic Point! VAN needs a record of 23-6-0 to clinch a playoff and North-West Division spot! VAN needs a record of 29-0-0 plus a loss of 1 point by STL to clinch the Western Conference! VAN needs a record of 29-0-0 plus a loss of 5 Points by NYR, a loss of 2 Points by BOS and a loss of 1 by STL to clinch the President's Trophy!
