I made a quick little script over the last hour that dynamically calculates the magic number. The stats are received from the NHL Standings table at TSN so it is as current as that website. Here it is: http://alexcrooks.com/alexcrooks/magicnumber/ It isn't very fancy in its current state, but another hour or so of work could include other stats such as pace, points to clinch, viewing by league/conference/division, amongst other requests.
