great BBC documentary about the most tragically under appreciated band in history, The Fall

mark e smith makes english punk musicians look like p.ussy cats. dude is vicious. can't even understand half the things he says through that thick accent, but you get the idea.

Man I don't guy why so many people thought Centipede Hz was such a big disappointment. I really like that album, it's probably in my top 5 of the year. I know it's a different direction but did you really expect Animal Collective to stick to their guns?

couldn't find the studio version but I think this song is brilliant

i just don't like how avey-focused it is. it's just got his aggression in it, if that makes any sense?

i dunno, i prefer AC's softer stuff, i think

been listening to the new Crystal Castles - its a major disappointment. Its missing everything that made them good - the edgy vocals, the arcade noises, catchy melodies.

New Tragically Hip is good. Not as good as their last couple World Container and We are the Same - both great and unfairly underrated. But the new one is still good, a little more off the cuff, but fun. I dont think any Hip fan will be disappointed.

New Neil Young is awesome! Best Neil Young album since 2005's Prairie Wind. Crazy Horse just brings out the best in him. I was initially worried about how long some of the songs were, but it turns out that the long players are my favorites on the album. Saw him live in vancouver last month and he killed.

New Hot Chip is better than their last one. Good effort.

Opinions on The Game's 'Jesus Piece'?...surprisingly not a bad album, expected much worse, Kendrick Lamar takes the title for rap album of the year.

the Ty Segall show was crazy, seemed way over capacity. stack of speakers very nearly toppled over, Ty knocked over his mic stand and it fell on a girls head and she was bleeding profusely. Mikal Cronin couldn't make it over the border, so they played as a 3 piece. it was a super good set, and then for an encore they came out and did covers, Paranoid by Black Sabbath and other classic stuff.
