TOMapleLaughs
Yet another case of this strange, but increasingly obvious fact: AV doesn't talk to his players one-on-one. Not on the bench during games. And apparently not at all. AV has been successful, but this non-communication with his players is a bit perplexing. Perhaps overblown, yes. But you can't deny that it is (or rather not) there. TOML
mysticriver
Well maybe he doesn't because if he passes it to Raymond he never sees it again.

oldnews
AV is very intelligent and calculated with what he says and can't be expected to walk on eggshells to protect anyone's ego. He also said that the Sedins are struggling. They are human. There is a reason Henrik Sedin is the captain - he has incredible composure and is relatively selfless despite being a Hart quality player.AV suggested a solution to the problem - use your team-mates. Hard to dispute that. Basically showed some faith in him, and gave a little constructive criticism. It's not as though AV told him that there is a rookie outplaying you, who is earning second line minutes right now, so put out and shut up - AV's comments show that it was not forgotten what Kesler did to take ownership of the second line. Kesler might have over-reacted but he can take it - he is not a hot-head, he just has moments. This will be a non-issue very soon.

Bingo Chili
Well he probably does now since Kesler doesn't pass it anymore, but now Raymond gets to feel what Kesler felt for a while. Paybacks a Beotch
js604
Why? I would react the same way if I was finding out from the media first then my own coach. If the coach has a problem with his play he needs to talk to his players not the media first.

rain
I want to slap that reporter who asked that question. That's like when the reporter told Luongo that fans cheered when he got pulled in Boston and what he thought of that. The media makes me sick. EmbraceTheHate17
Goaltender controversy cooling off and a couple of off games. The media needs something to write about and that's all they could come up with. Yes, Kesler is struggling. But if you think he's not being harder on himself than anyone else you need to pinch yourself. Kesler wants to win as much if not more than anyone else in that locker room. And Vigneault said it perfectly. Ryan has exemplified some incredible play in the last couple of seasons. And while it'd be amazing, he can't be expected to keep up that pace 82 games a year. Kesler's not going anywhere.
