Willie Mitchell should have been Captain.

I agree with this.

I don't think you can pin Kesler's relatively poor season on his health. First, a lot of his goals came in the form of deflections and picking up rebounds on the power play, and our power play really struggled to get shots on net this year. This isn't surprising given the loss of Ehrhoff, but I feel Edler regressed in that department as well. Hamhuis was the best at getting shots on net this year. The other problem Kesler had is his linemates, or lack of them. Kesler needs someone who can get him the puck, it's pretty simple. Neither Booth nor Raymond are particularly good at finding their linemates - okay, they're awful at it - and I feel this has rubbed off on Kesler as well. He needs to be used properly. Get him a legit playmaking linemate before you give up on him.

Nope, leave it for now and then in a few years give it Hodgson.

Edit: This just hit me as not so much funny as actually kind of sad.

Maybe Kesler can be captain of another team after we trade his butt out own.

Henrik was a beast this year in the playoffs. I'd say he and Schneids were our top two players.
