Wh!stler R!der
^ pretty sure everyone was joking there. Edler +4 Bieska +15 Hamhuis +21 Ballard even Salo +8 Alberts 5 Rome -4 Tanev +1 MAG -2 Is this guy a puck rushing defenseman? Is he a PP specialist? No he is a defensive defenseman who is not even good at being defensive. He kills all offensive when he's on ice and he has the worse +/- playing for the 1st place team in the NHL. He was near the bottom of the +/- last year too. He's is lucky that AV protects him and gets him in the line up no matter what.
Moonshinefe
Aaron Rome sucked tonight. Please bring in Tanev for Gragnani's partner.
Dipseydoodle
I for one hope that AV makes a defensive change. Rome is simply not getting the job done.
jimsandlak83
I completely agree. Last year I felt that he was our weakest link throughout the entire season, but I as astonished to see that he still got to play a bunch. This year really has been no different, although I think his defensive play is slightly better. He still loses the puck a bunch and pretty much is a plug. TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO SAY WE LOST WITHOUT HIM IN THE FINALS, ITS NOT BECAUSE WE DIDNT HAVE HIM THAT WE LOST, ITS BECAUSE IT WAS ROME IN THE FIRST PLACE WHO IGNITED THE FIRE IN THE BRUINS TO COME AFTER US AFTER HE DESTROYED HORTON. He is part of what cost us the cup and I will never forgive him.
Sixteen W's
Aaron Rome can't think that he's an offensive threat for the Canucks. As a bottom pairing defenseman, he should make safe plays and a sound defensive game. After his unexpected offensive outburst at his return, I'm seeing Rome wander deeper into the offensive zone, then getting trapped after a turnover. That's one of the problems with our defense right now. Every pairing is making risky plays that end up as scoring chances for the other team. And this was Ballard's problem that kept him bounced from the lineup time and again. I don't understand why AV can't get our third pairing to play a more responsible game (and why he keeps playing them after we score a goal, or with the Sedins), and Rome should try to play like Hamhuis to Bieksa, especially with an offensive defenseman like Gragnani. Rome is a good, physical 5th or 6th defenseman if he could concentrate on his own end and recognize that points from him aren't expected, so he shouldn't play outside his role. vancouvercanucks!
But thats Rome...He could score hat tricks every game if he really tried and you know why? because he's Aaron Rome. Sedins need to get on his level.
Everybody Hates Raymond
Whenever Rome plays solid, there are no hate threads. Whenever he makes a few bad decisions, there is plenty of hate. Romeberto Luongome, apparently.

myfaceismymask
Aaron Rome has the hardest job on the team. Look at the other d pairings, theyre ALWAYS the same. Beiksa-Hamhuis Salo-Edler Rome-Tanev, Gragnani, Ballard, Alberts Its hard not having consistency as a D man the other guys know where their partner will be at all times. Rome has to adapt to someone knew almost every game
Opmac
1st Play: Aaron Rome strips the puck from the initial Sabres rush and both Lapierre and Kassian skate by the puck without going for it. Rome's in front of the net where he's supposed to be. Seriously, why go through all the pain of getting a screenshot without explaining what happened in the whole play. The fault lies equally on everyone on that play. 2nd Play: MAGs had NO chance of getting to that puck. Look at the freakin' play, he would've been beaten by both Sabres. You can pin that goal on Aaron Rome because he committed a turnover in the corner and didn't make a safe play out of the zone or to a teamate. Wow, don't take this too harsh but your analysis of those plays is terrible.

kchengc
Its been proven time And time again that he is absolutely brutal. He tries to do too much and he gets burned from it over and over . This av man crush has to come to an end. Any other player whom Which makes the mistakes that rome makes doesn't get the numerous extra chances that he gets. It's getting to a ridiculous point and has to stop . Has been our weakest link for two seasons now and if the coaching staff cAnt see that then ther is seriously something wrong . Dilly Canuck
Just because that fluke goal went in off of Rome's skate you ppl want him gone. You're like the Luongo haters who say "time to get him out" after Lu lets in the first goal of the game. Personally, I thought our top defence pairing did the worst job defensively tonight, but theres gonna be nights like that unfortunately.
TVank15
So sick of Rome, I don't see why AV can't put in Tanev over him. I can't wait for Ballard to be back, hopefully he can come back playing the same way he was before he got injured.

surtur
pretty sure Rome was not in the line up after he got suspended...and we didn't win. and we made it to the finals with him in the line up so i think you fail.
