NucksBruins
I didn't think he could sign until Wednesday anyway? I had heard on TSN during draft coverage he was expected to sift through offers starting then.

Ossi Vaananen
Schultz was at the Newport agency office today (Monday), tabling offers from what we can assume was all 30 teams. His agency is helping him sift through the different aspects of a team he is looking for: contract value, strength of the team, Canadian team, and most importantly his role in terms of minutes played. Schultz can't sign anywhere until the July 1st deadline wherein his rights no longer belong to the Ducks.

UFCanuck
I would guess that you won't need to follow-through on this silly statement. Schultz to Edmonton is the logical move. Why would he want to come here? If he's as good as everyone's saying, he might even be in EDMs top-2. The Oil (theoretically) should be on the major upswing, as well. The Canucks' present state is sideways to down, which most agree with. He'll sign with Edmonton.

King of the ES
1) He's from Kelowna 2) Grew up a Canucks fan 3) Has a chance to slot into the top 4 4) He can play for a cup contending team Even though Edmonton has all their youth, the city has brutal weather, the team hasn't made the playoffs in 6 years. Coming to Vancouver would be the most obvious choice.

Pears
Oh, stop with your biases. The kid has obviously been planning this thing very precisely. He may be a Canuck fan, but he's probably more of a fan of solidifying his future by being placed in a situation where his probability of success is greater. That'll happen on Edmonton. He'll get more ice time, PP time, and can establish himself on a team that could potentially breakout huge next season. All signs are currently pointing to Salo coming back, rendering Schultz a 5th spot on our team, in the best case scenario. Contrast that with what he'd get on Edmonton. Pretty easy decision. King of the ES
This. People can say whatever they want but the player's hometown can always be a factor (and a major one at that).
bleednucksblue
If Salo retires and Ballard is traded Edler - Schultz Hamhuis - Bieksa Tanev - Garrison
