They're 4-5-1 in their last 10, currently losing 5-0 to Tampa at the moment, and only 6 points ahead of 9th in the east. Say the Bruins go 0.500 from here on out - they would get 13 of 26 possible points (putting them at 96 points). Buffalo would need 23 of 24 points to beat them out (97 points). Buffalo going 11-0-1? Impossible. To miss the playoffs, the Bruins would have to play some really crappy hockey and Buffalo some amazing (near perfect) hockey. I just don't see that happening. Bruins aren't missing the playoffs - however, they may lose their division to Ottawa. If you see any mathematical errors - please correct me!
