rypper-37
Columbus barely has any fans. That video of Edler walking in won't garner them any more fans anytime soon.
RO8!!
Canuck fans yet again complaining about something. Let's face it, Canucks aren't the only team. A lot of teams don't get recognition.
irani1378
if a defense-men skates the length of the ice with the puck and scores a goal it is always nice
Raiun
The CBJ defensemen might have created the chance for Edler with some really sloppy defensive play, but he made an awesome read on the play, realized that he had the option to rush the middle (which is when he put on the jets), and beat the goaltender one on one. It was a brilliant read and great execution. I think a lot of players would not have the courage to make that rush or the hockey smarts to read that defensive breakdown. Ray_Cathode
It was more of horrid defense that superb offense. Still, it was a gorgeous goal that they should've shown. Oh well, our secret weapon remains secret.
froskii
Regardless what happened in the middle it was still Coast to Coast!!! Nice Goal!!!

Silfverberg Snipes
Are you kidding, it was more of a pathetic defensive effort by Columbus than a great goal by Edler. The goal is more likely to be the in the top fails of the week than top goals. CDC Homerism at its finest.

KillerOrca
Such a nice goal! Edler is very under-rated.
DrWhom
It should easily have been the top 1 play of "plays of the night" on TSN and it was number 3 I believe. A catch by a Toronto Blue Jay in centerfield was the play of the night
Edler's Mind Tricks
This is just a taste of what is to come. "Nikiten, this is not the side of the ice you are looking for" *waves hand*

Thrill-House
Perhaps the Jackets were anticipating the usual drop pass entry. Basically that play could have been TSN's highlight of the night, as well as the worst play of the day.

NLluvitorleaveit
Beautiful goal by the Eagle did not matter if the D parted like the red sea, it was still an awesome finish by him.Man I would luv more rushes like that by him.
Jai604
Edler looked ambarrassed in his post-game interview when questioned about the goal. Kudos to him for taking what teh CBJs gave him but talk about a defensive breakdown. Having said that, if you watch the replay, you see that just as he crosses the blue line, he puts on a quick "burst" that gets him past the last D. Not sure they expected that and it does make it a bit more of a "what Edler did" than just a D breakdown. Let's give him credit, remember how everyone went on about Malkin's goal a couple weeks ago where he walked thorugh en antire team to score. It could easily be said that he also took advantage of weak D play. Few can score when the D is perfect, it takes a breakdown/mistake somewhere. thehamburglar
I don't think they expected him to change his speed up, and the goalie definitely wasn't expecting it. Great goal, but was a one in a season things.
