Here's a good question:

Since the NHL went to it's current 4-round playoff format in 1980, which team has lost to the eventual Stanley Cup Winners the most number of times?

Detroit Red Wings?

New Jersey Devils?

Who else has a long playoff streak

I can guarantee it's not the Fylers, but maybe the Flyers.

Yup, It's the Flyers.

1. Flyers - 11 (Boston/11, Chicago/10, Pittsburgh/09, Tampa/04, New Jersey/00, Detroit/97, New Jersey/95, Edmonton/87, Edmonton/85, Islanders/83, Islanders/80)

2. Canucks - 9 (Boston/11, Chicago/10, Anaheim/07, Detroit/02, Colorado/01, Colorado/96, Rangers/94, Calgary/89, Islanders/83)

3. Boston - 8

4. LA - 7

5. Phoenix/Winnipeg - 6

5. Detroit - 6

5. Dallas/Minnesota - 6

5. Rangers - 6

5. Colorado/Quebec - 6

The Flyers have also lost to the Cup winners 3 years in a row. Could be four too if the Devils go on to win again.

More fun facts:

Colorado has lost to 4 Cup winners since moving to Denver, 3 being the Red Wings.

Only Atlanta/Winnipeg and Columbus have never lost to an eventual cup winner.

The Winnipeg/Phoenix franchise lost to the Oilers in all 5 of their Cup Winning years.

I'll list off the ones I know.

1. Maurice Richard

2. Mike Bossy

3. Wayne Gretzky

Other than that, I don't know for sure.

I'll guess two others.

Mario Lemieux?

Brett Hull?

<p>

You got it.

These questions are too easy, and too easy to look up if you don't know it.
