If Malhotra can regain his pre-injury form do you want him or Pahlsson as 3rd line centre?

Both are NHL veterans, Pahlsson has a SC ring, more playoff experience, and I think is better at shutting down the opposing team. Malhotra is better at faceoffs and scoring goals/points...Pahlsson avg is around 5-7 goals a season and Malhotra at 10-12.

Sammy Pahlsson is a great shut down centre.

If he returns to form he can be the 4th line Centre so we would be deep

pre injury manny was really good, remember he was suppose to be a selke nominee, therefore I would have them both on a line, they would combine to make the best shutdown pair in the league. They would be so good, you could pretty much throw anyone with them on a line and that player would look like defensive specialist and would play like one too.

Manny's not ever getting back the vision he's lost, jtlyk. But, I agree with the poster above who suggests that you would play them both on the same line.

if manny hasnt regained his game by now, he wont regain it this season...if ever

now i only know how well pahlsson did in cbj by stats but i think pahlsson is playing very well for the canucks...burrows-pahlsson-hansen should stick together for awhile, we might have a real gem of a checking line there

Nope. I hope Manny continues to be used exactly as he has been.

Take note - 2 of the 3 goals Columbus scored on us were scored directly off faceoffs we lost in our own zone, faceoffs Manny would usually take (and generally win).

Stay with pahlsson, the third line has looked really good the past couple of games. The Burrows Effect B)

No. Even the pre-injury Manny was not trusted in the regular seasons to shut down others' top line.

I think this personal break(his holliday or rest) will help him out. I hope and think he can regain his form and take over the 3rd line center.

If it's pre-inury Manny, then yes. However I doubt we will ever see that Manny for the rest of his career. Unfortunately the injury has had a significant impact on Manny's playing ability.

Right now Palhsson is the guy for the 3rd line job.

With the current Manny, we should stay him in the 4th line. This also protects him as it seems like he's never fully recovered from the eye-injury. Pahlsson's doing a tremendous job right now and it doesn't make sense to break it up right now.

Last year's Malholtra was far superior to Pahlsson. Better offensively, defensively, face offs, pk, you name it.

When Burr is moved back to the 1st line, what are they going to plunk Raymond into the 3rd line slot, most likely, then that leaves Manny on our 4th line which is not a bad idea, because as you can recall, he & Lappy had some chemistry playing with each other. I just don't like that 3rd line w/Raymond on it too much, maybe switch him & Burr up during the game to mix things up.
