Buggernut
I'm not an Adrian Dix fans by any stretch, but this is much ado about nothing, IMO...
Langdon Algur
Anyone else happy to see a politican actually taking transit? As inane said it beats the way Gordie Campbell choose to get around Hawaii.
Mr. Ambien
Apparently, Skytrain police wouldn't think so if YOU got caught evading fares. Same rules for all?
DonLever
Others (who aren't politicians) are saying they were let off the hook too for making a similar mistake, I've seen it happen myself on the GO Train, wtf is the problem?

Buggernut
There is nothing wrong with getting a warning but the process seems very arbitrary. How come some people get a warning and others get a ticket? What is is the criteria for getting a ticket? Does it depend whether the Translink cop is in a good mood or if he is a nice guy? Or does it depend on the looks of the offender? Maybe a guy in suit is treated differently than some homeless guy or a kid in scruffy jeans? Or it depends on how good your story is? Cpt.Clutch
Tell me why I should pay Translink taxes when the Translink doesn't make the users pay? This is made only worse by the fact that it was a politician that got caught not paying. Translink should look into actually getting their fares paid fairly rather than taxing me, someone who never uses public transit because it is not helpful to me in any way. Complete bullfeces. lateralus
Do you drive? If so, don't you think by encouraging less people to drive transit is helping you by making the roads you drive on less congested. Or do you enjoy being stuck in traffic? Langdon Algur
The roads in the lower mainland will never be less congested.
