elvis15
This is the first time I've heard someone propose Schneider stay and Luongo go come off season. I'm looking forward to hearing peoples opinions on this for the first time.
elvis15
You may have missed it, but there is some suggestion that there might be a "free" buyout in the new CBA, which would allow teams to basically dump one salary with no ongoing cap issues. This was done once before, I believe.
smurf47
Lou had a much better season last year and fewer ups and downs than this year. lou won;t put his critics to bed until he has a stellar post season...nothing else will be good enough. Lou has to find consistancy, the same consistancy that Schneider is showing now. Lou is showing good form now, lets hope it continues !
Cody9
BETTER hope that both of these goalies stand on their heads in the PLAYOFFS or it'll be doom and gloom cuz we sure aren't scoring.
SixtyEight
I would like to see a 50 50 split between our goalies mins, although itll never happen
rypper-37
I got an idea. Why don't we trade Lu or Schieder in the off-season? We don't need 2 goalies...o wait....
forevernucks19
Umm...hell no? Why would we want to buy him out? He's by far THE BEST GOALIE the Canucks have ever had!!! Him and Schneids of course, but if it wasnt for him, in last years playoffs, we would not have made it so far. And also, wthe fact we had Hoffa, and Torres...so ya. But really, he's been the best goalie we've ever had in Canucks history, aside from captain Kirk, but really, think about it. With cloutier we didn't go far, hedberg same thing, raycroft and labarbera, not far at all, but with Lu and Schneids, far, real far!! So ya, Why the heck would we buy out Lu? Wow people... Kesler_smash
If we are talking this season Lou has not been a top goaltender consistantly. Sure he looks stellar occasionaly, but the stats show he has been middle of the road / mediocre this season.
thehamburglar
Uhh.. many teams would love to get Luo at a 5.3 cap hit. Tampa, NYI, Edm, Ottawa I bet; etc.
kmotamed
Not going to happen
Day one
Yes, yes it is. A buyout would be incredibly damaging to our cap situation for decades.

NUCKS4CUP 28
If the Canucks don't win the cup, then I hope Luongo gets traded and whatever team he gets traded to wins the cup next year. I'd love to see all the haters go mad.

Jai604
If only CDC automatically banned people for making Schneider vs. Luongo threads. We'd have a lot less morons floating around the boards.
