suolucidir
http://video.nhl.com...id=35&id=168568 So what says you? Personally, trying to not be bias here, McQuaid DOES spin at the last second exposing his back to Chimera, but regardless Chimera was going pretty darn fast probably expecting Mcquaid to circle around the net I expect 3-4 games
TOMapleLaughs
Just wondering what set Chimera off like that to make him want to jump off the bench and charge McQuaid from 100ft away? Everyone must hate the Bruins. Cheers. TOML
suolucidir
Uh.. probably that McQuaid had the puck and Chimera wanted to start a hard forecheck, try to turn that into a goal, win the game, and qualify for the playoffs? Just guessing, though.
Grapes-N-Canucks
The hit looks bad, but Chimera was flying and had McQuaid lined up. McQuaid shouldn't have turned into the boards. Players going in deep along the boards to get the puck should expect to get hammered. How many times are players going to turn their back to the play? Isn't the definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results?
etsen3
I don't think Chimera should be suspended, maybe a fine at most. He was just forechecking hard and McQuaid turned his back at the very last second. Chimera was already right on top of him when McQuaid turned and had almost no time to react. And I'm not saying this because I hate the Bruins. McQuaid should have looked over his shoulder before he got to the puck, that way he would have seen Chimera coming and braced himself for the hit. I don't even know if you can call that charging as usually forechecking forwards are coming in with speed anyways.

Kubrick
Now that we've resolved the NHL's issues involving Chimera, did anyone see Thomas break his ankles in the Shootout? And then again on the bench?!? Seriously the funniest thing I've seen in a while!!!

etsen3
From what I could see, he did do a shoulder check and he did see Chimera coming. He just made a very stupid decision on how to handle the play.
